My brother Donald had been in and out of facilities and group homes most of his life, but once we moved him to TECH Donald had found a home. TECH has a team of highly skilled and well-trained individuals to provide the best care possible for each client. Donald was fortunate to have been with TECH nearly 1 1/2 years prior to his death from stage IV Cancer. During Donald's illness TECH took him to all doctor's visits, including those in other towns, and the care and comfort Donald and our family received from the team at TECH was amazing. TECH is a wonderful asset to our family and this community.

We have been associated with TECH since our daughter Kelli was born 36 years ago. I can’t express what their help and guidance has meant to us. Every staff member is so kind. THe knowledge they have is outstanding with special needs children and adults. This is a fantastic, giving, loving organization.

We are parents of a 40-year-old Down Syndrome son. When he was one month old, TECH, through the Early Education Center, was involved in his path of early intervention. They got our whole family involved in his stimulation early on with much patience and compassion. They also told us if we didn't expect much from him, that's what we would get--NOT MUCH. At the end of his education through High School, TECH encouraged us to help him live in his "least restrictive environment." He has lived in his own house for 20 years. TECH still provides services and programs that help him live a very full life. He is a TECH artist, texts and emails, rides the RCAT buses, is an usher at church, and works as part-time custodian at Holy Cross School. Plans are made through TECH for his future and final years, should we precede him in death. Hutchinson, Reno County, and we are blessed to have an organization like this. Larry and Pat McLain

TECH has been very helpful in our transition from high school to the real world. They are willing to answer any questions and always make it a priority to keep their client's best interest in mind in every decision they make. We are so thankful for their warm, patient, and compassionate staff. Knowing TECH is there to help relieves much stress for parent of a kid with special needs. They are true Heroes to our special population in Hutchinson!

TECH was a LIFESAVER for our family! We were able to have two of the staff from TECH's Infant and Toddler program call on us when our son was one month old. Being born with Down Syndrome, they showed ways to stimulate him until their Fall school semester started, at which time a physical, occupational, and speech therapists came weekly. Our family learn to challenge him and help him be as independent as possible. Now, 38 years later, he lives alone with help from TECH staff about 8 hours a week with cooking, grocery shopping, etc. He LOVES his life and TECH will be there for him until he dies! They challenged us to expect great things from him, which we would not have done without their staff and their support.
