The Arc of the Ozarks - Kansas City

The only reason I am giving one star is because they were a couple staff members that I felt really cared about my son. My son wasn't there care for 7 months. When he started there he was healthy and happy. When I decided to pull him out he was unhealthy, depressed, anxious and his hygiene was not good. They refused to do anything I recommended. They continued to change staff. My son needs people who know about his needs, if they continue to change staff then he never has consistency. He never has people that know his needs and how to care for him properly. They had issues with is munication between guardians/parents, staff and each other. I have had him home almost four months and he is back to himself. He is healthy again, happy and clean. I do not recommend them for low functioning individuals.

I have an Arc of the Ozarks community house next door to me in my duplex. Is there anyway you can get these jokers or as you call them "care takers" to stop smoking weed in my back yard while they're being paid to supervise the mentally ill? I literally caught "Nina" an adult who clearly needs supervision and is non verbal, eating our trash, out of our trash can multiple times because her care taker was too high to know what was going on(unless theres a skunk kill shelter next door). When we called with concern, they told us we should stop leaving our trash in a bin outside of our house.. If this is common practice do not send your kids to this program. Absolutely ridiculous, if this was my child I'd sue. Attached are pictures of this poor girl being poorly supervised and neglected.

This place is ridiculous. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a family member in your facilities care and they are treated poorly. Your employers pick sides of specific people and let them get away with stuff. I should not have to hear from my parents all the time about how my sibling is getting hurt cause your employers don't do their jobs. This company is a joke!!!! If you put two people in the house they BOTH need to get up and do their jobs. Just like the other reviews say, they just sit on their phones or watching TV. 🙄😤

The clients are such a wonderful delight. The office staff and most of the employees………… a circus with a bunch of clowns!!!🤡

There are staff that don’t interact with clients and others who yell back at people because they are offended by things that happen from disabilities. Staff also discipline people for doing something bad. One sits around and watches tv all day while the assistant manager constantly lies and talks to people like they are stupid. I was manipulated and didn’t even feel like I was living in my own home. If you want your dignity and respect, don’t work with this company.

The people of this so called charitable organization have absolutely no integrity, they lack experienced personnel to take care of these individuals, and they absolutely don’t have the best interest of their clients in mind. My brother is still waiting on emergency services and they have taken all of his rights as a patient and stepped all over them! DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONES IN THEIR CARE!!!
