The Emerge Center

Terrible experience!!! I drove all the way from Lafayette for an autism evaluation for my child, Jane Morton refused to do it. She said because an evaluation was done 3 years ago, she would just use those results — without even interacting with my child, I felt like I was in an integrating room .She also said she wouldn’t do the evaluation because insurance would not pay her. On top of that, she didn’t even bother reading the paperwork I filled out, which included important questions about my child’s condition. She was not helpful at all and completely wasted my time!!!

Always patient & In good spirits. The energy there is very positive & the teachers love what they do.

Emerge has been the essential cornerstone in transforming my daughter into the happy, expressive child I've seen shine and become more capable of opening up to growth on all levels: mentally, emotionally, physically, socially and educationally. We are grateful for the role the Emerge Center and staff has taken in this journey. Without Emerge, our present and future would be extraordinarily different. My child was not diagnosed & was nonverbal at 4½ years old; however, after less than 1yr of attendance my child TALKS, uses sentences, can explain her emotions & feelings, injuries, desires, tell about her day/ stories, introduce herself to other children to make friends, and can make friends with children that don't speak/ diff lang/ disabled bc she WAS that child. Complete transformation! In a good way I didn't know was possible! So much less stressful to be able to call her name & FINALLY hear a response - the stress it has relieved 😌. LOVE THIS PLACE. They also explore their individualized conditions & learning method further than simply a diagnosis to better understand your child & keep exceptional notes. My only desire I haven't figured out is enrolling her in the school, not just therapy (but when I inquire at therapy they looked at me like I was crazy until I showed them the site so IDK about that part, sorry)

Was very pleased with our experience at the Emerge Center. The staff was very kind and understanding. Dr. Phillip was incredibly helpful and professional. My daughter is usually pretty shy and timid most places we go, but opened up here and was even able to say she had fun after each appointment! Would definitely recommend.

This place is a joke…I’ve made several attempts to speak with someone about scheduling an appointment for evaluation or to be placed on the waiting list and it had been 3 weeks since my initial call and NO ONE has called or emailed me back in reference to this matter. This is extremely unprofessional, and disturbing since every second counts when dealing with a child that may be on the spectrum. Why say early prevention is the best when your organization doesn’t even communicate with people that are trying to get services.

The Emerge Center has been an amazing resource for my son. I have seen so much improvement in his speech and his overall confidence. This center is a state of the art facility! Complete with an OT gym and playground he loves! The speech therapist have been so loving and wonderful with him. I don't know of anywhere else that offers a group speech program. It is so beneficial and most importantly my son loves to go and is thriving!
