The Heart of Behavior

Heart of Behavior is a great place for children with autism and their parents to grow and be supported effectively and with "heart". It is great to know that one of the leadership in the field is right here in Denton and led in a ethical and values forward way. Staff are compassionate and knowledgable. Could not make a higher recommendation.

This is a wonderful place to bring your kiddos if they are neurodivergent. The hands-on training team environment and play is amazing!

As a lead teacher of a private preschool, with a student enrolled in this program, I have nothing but amazing things to say in regards to their staff and RBT’s! We are a typical school, but very inclusive with children of all abilities, allowing in-classroom therapy and whatever other supports needed to integrate with peers and set them up for success in life before transitioning into kindergarten. I also am a parent of a child with an ASD diagnosis who has experienced my own struggles and search for help and support to achieve the same goals for his future! The Heart of Behaviors’ RBT’s, in my student’s care, are in my classroom for 5 days a week, 3+ hours, and they are the most kind hearted, intelligent, patient, hands-on people I have been blessed to have worked with in association with the child’s growth and overall development while integrating with neurotypical classmates their own age. The amount of improvement and life skills gained have been impacted greatly because of their presence in this child’s world to say the least! I want to personally shout out Izzy, Paige, Dacia, and Andia, for being such bright beams of light and auras in our room that even reflect onto the other surrounding staff and classmates from their presence!!! They genuinely enjoy and are so passionate about the work they do!

I would have been completely lost before I found Heart of Behavior. My son and I were with them for about seven years, until he aged out of their program. What I love most about Heart is that it doesn’t feel like a clinic—it feels more like going to grandma’s house, where everyone is understanding and supportive. I’ve been to places where I constantly felt like I was doing something wrong, but Tashenna and the entire team at Heart just motivated me and taught me how to care for my son’s needs. They are simply better than anywhere else I’d ever been. I wish we could still be there because it was such an incredible experience. Heart of Behavior is more than just a center—they offer additional services like speech therapy and occupational therapy, so you’re not running all over town to meet your child’s needs. It’s truly the perfect one-stop center for everything your child could require. The people there are heroes, man. I’ll always be grateful for the impact they’ve had on our lives.

Heart of Behavior has made an incredible impact on our family and loved ones. As a caregiver, I was given numerous resources, training sessions, and had clear communication with the BCBAs to provide the best care possible. I always felt prepared, and I knew my kiddo was safe and having a positive experience at heart school!

Heart of Behavior is center that really makes a huge impact of lives of the children and families that its serves out in the country setting which makes for a wonderful playground for outdoor play. It's close to E University Drive and Loop 288, so it's easy to get to. It's a true treasure in Denton.

We can't say enough good things about The Heart of Behavior! They have a very naturalistic approach to ABA-- it's truly learning through play! Everyone here is SO kind. Our family highly recommends The Heart of Behavior!
