The Scott Center for Autism Treatment

The patient went to The Scott Center for more in depth help with neurodiversity and seeking a proper diagnosis to assist with 'reasonable accommodations' under ADA (Sound, Smell, Touch sensitivity, Emotional interpretation). The patient had been previously treated for PTSD by unaffiliated Doctors, for abuse inflicted as a result of misunderstandings due to their neurodiversity. The patient's test results from The Scott Center were 'Superior Intelligence' and 'Unique and Analytical Way of Thinking'. However, instead of receiving a proper diagnosis of Asperger's, or Autism, etc. The Scott Center's conclusion was Narcissistic Personality Disorder!!! An empathic, animal loving, generous, kind, and often self sacrificing human with PTSD and 'Superior Intelligence' was diagnosed by The Scott Center as NPD!!! Their reason?? The patient also displayed 'Resilience' and the ability to 'Focus on Their Strengths When Feeling Insecure'! The Scott Center also had the audacity to negate previous Doctor's diagnosis of PTSD, though the patient had been through significant documented violent trauma. The Scott Center's explanation was 'PTSD is something a Soldier gets from war' and went so far as saying the patient 'Made up elaborate worlds in their head' as though none of the trauma had really occurred. The Scott Center's behavior was GROSSLY NEGLIGENT! Their wild misdiagnosis compounded the patient's fear of suffering abuse due to misinterpretations. The patient was treated by them to receive help but unfortunately received the same prejudice and negative labeling as any uneducated laymen. Please take this as a warning! Your mental health is TOO IMPORTANT to be mishandled! Since The Scott Center is student practitioners this is what you can expect as a result. Please seek a professional Doctor who has experience! The patient was pulled out of The Scott Center's program immediately!

Put in a form WEEKS ago for an evaluation for my 2 year old per her pediatrician. Haven’t heard anything about scheduling. Ridiculous.

Tina, Dr Fraser, and the rest of the team were wonderful throughout the entire testing process. I could not have asked for a better experience for my son and myself, I just wish that I would have found them sooner. Thank you for the gentle way that you approached the testing and diagnosis with us and the thorough report that you provided for us in the end. I am so grateful for you all.

Mylissa Fraser was incredibly insightful and validating throughout the entire process. I was able to get a diagnosis for my daughter the same day and a ton of resources along with it. Mylissa Fraser is not only intelligent but she’s kind, sweet and helpful. I would recommend this facility to anyone. 10/10

Most unprofessional. Should hire someone with experience for evaluations. The child avoided me when I wished to speak with her. The receptionist is so over the top fake it is ridiculous. Go to Orlando if you can. They better hope the delay doesn't indicate liability or I will be speaking with a malpractice attorney

My child attended this facility for 2 1/2 years . She was labeled as severe and billed that way but not cared for that way . I have been told she would need to possibly be institutionalized and medicated and a therapist asked me how long I would keep her for . We were left without in clinic services and pushed out for 7 months . It’s a business and only if your child looks good on their charts ... look at other options .
