The Sonatina Center, LLC

My son Aidan just graduated from the Birchtree Center in Portsmouth because he turned 22 and aged out of special education. I have been looking for new engaging activities to fill his day and signed him up for a group music therapy class at the Sonatina Center. He had his first group class today and he apparently loved it! His support person said he was smiling throughout the class and participating happily! I'm so very happy to have found this wonderful resource in our community. I would highly recommend them.

I brought my 18 month old daughter to a music class at Sonatina and we both loved it. The teacher (Ally) was kind, very patient, and prepared fun activities for a wide range of ages which provided a very warm and welcoming environment for the children and their caregivers. Before class I called the center with a basic question, and was warmly greeted by the owner who was also very lovely and provided great information about the class. We are excited to go back!

I think they do an amazing job. I felt bad at first for the other kids and teacher because my daughter was a bit inattentive. Miss Cacia was great about it though. They explained that's the process and still perfect for them to absorb everything. Super accommodating and a great space.

My youngest daughter has been doing music therapy with Marissa for a year and a half now. It has made such a HUGE difference for her. Marissa has taught her valuable skills, as well as using music to enhance her speech. Marissa has been an invaluable resource for us.

Our daughter has been receiving music therapy from Marissa for a couple of years. She is a very skilled and knowledgeable music therapist! Sophie loves Marissa's fun, kind, and loving personality. The Sonatina Center is wheelchair accessible and there is ample parking. They offer art therapy and many children's groups. Whenever our family asks for gift ideas, we always ask for music therapy gift certificates to The Sonatina Center. Such a wonderful place to be apart of!!!
