Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
We have had a wonderful experience with The Therapy Place and Bridges School! Our daughter has grown so much since switching her services to here. I completed a practicum in speech therapy here, and after liking what I saw behind the scenes, we switched therapies to TTP and pursued Bridges School. The staff and therapists are very knowledgeable and compassionate, and seem to genuinely love their jobs and the children they serve. TTP also offers great family support services for families.
My daughter, who has Autism, had been attending therapy here for about two years with no major issues until she was switched to a new therapist named Natalie. Unfortunately, our experience with her has been very disappointing. From the start, my daughter shared that Stephanie often spoke to her harshly. At one point, when my daughter was nervously scratching her head (a self-soothing behavior), the therapist asked if she had “cooties.” That was extremely insulting and inappropriate to say to a child. My daughter was also repeatedly told she “wasn’t trying hard enough,” which only discouraged her more. I eventually addressed these concerns with the therapist, but instead of listening, she shifted the blame back onto my daughter. Soon after, I received a call from the lead therapist saying my daughter would be placed on a 4-week probation for “improvement.” This felt like retaliation, as we never received any complaints prior to raising our concerns. Ironically, after those 4 weeks, they told me she was “doing great” — only to suddenly dismiss her the following week when she wasn’t feeling well during a session. There were other troubling incidents too. My daughter’s father, who is paraplegic and uses a walker, came in to support her, but staff told him they didn’t have a chair for him in the back — while their able-bodied staff sat comfortably. The front desk staff were also consistently cold and dismissive toward me, often avoiding eye contact or conversation, while openly chatting with other parents. On top of that, I’ve overheard staff gossiping about the very children they are supposed to serve, which is unprofessional and unacceptable. This entire experience has been hurtful and concerning. Families bring their children here for care and support, not judgment, retaliation, or disrespect. Parents should be aware of how they may treat your child — and you — at this facility.
We love TTP so much! We've been going there for 2 years. Tessa the PT and Heather OT showed the most intentional, loving, teaching care to our daughter. Helping her in all the areas. It warms my heart knowing my daughter is in exceptional hands. The ladies there are filled with an amazing head of knowledge and passion for what they do and it shows. Couldn't recommend TTP enough!
We love the Therapy Place. It's a joy to receive such great services. Everyone is nice and treats my Abby with so much love.
The ladies takes their time to understand the needs of your child and it’s always smiling faces to know that you’re at the right place… I wouldn’t want to have it no other way, this is THE THERAPY PLACE that’s TOP TIER for your kid’s year…
