I have attended therapy at The Village for several years now. I am attending weekly and have worked with three different therapists in different modalities. I would love to try brain spotting but have not yet. I’m blown away by how much these years have helped me. I’m almost always greeted by Brenda who is such a gem. She is calm, kind and warm. Brenda has a fan following amongst both clients and therapists at The Village. Her gentle spirit is very soothing. My therapist is such a great match for me. She isn’t my first therapist; you may need to try another if you aren’t clicking well with your therapist. We laugh and cry and process together, using different modalities like parts work, attachment frameworks, etc. I truly look forward to each week and can see so much growth and progress. I’m grateful to have access to these services. The Village has really cool options to explore like brainspotting, EMDR (strongly recommend in person for this), and therapists with military background, therapists with systems approach, experience with autism and neurodivergence, and more. They also post community resources and group sessions that meet outside the office space in the community. I think it would be so cool to try therapy - what do you have to lose? You can gain tools and lead a more present life. I recommend checking out staff bios to see which one(s) speak to you and inquire about scheduling availability. Be prepared to switch therapists as it’s like dating; the first may not be the right fit. If you’re especially curious, do a quick 5 minute google search on what different kinds of modalities or framework therapists practice and see if there are particular ones of interest. This only helps to facilitate a great match and kickstarts your journey but it’s also not necessary. (Again, it’s like dating so it’s helpful to know what might interest you.) It’s so worth it!

I just called this clinic. Their website says they don’t turn anyone away for being unable to pay. But I was just turned away because they actually don’t take Medicare patients. In all of the past couple years I have checked on their openings for Medicare and they have never had openings for Medicare. If you have Medicare don’t bother with here. They say they take it so they can claim they are including but I highly doubt they are genuinely taking Medicare due to the low reimbursement rates and the amount of unpaid time put into filing a claim. I get it. Just sucks Medicare patients don’t get to find help. It is a flaw in Medicare. That is the reason for the three stars. I took 2 for the run around I received.

Stephanie has been great with my son. Her personality matches greatly with ours. She is funny, caring, kind and honest. I highly recommend her!

Melinda Terhaar is the best therapist I ever had! The receptionists are very friendly and very helpful!

We love everyone at The Village. From the friendly receptionist to the amazingly helpful providers, you couldn't find a better group of people. They have helped me and my family tremendously. We would highly recommend The Village to anyone looking into counseling!

Their new location is wonderful! So welcoming and full of great and cozy provider rooms! Everyone I’ve met so far that works here is very nice and seem up to task in their field/service!
