I was see you on January 7
We brought our son Trevor( who is 34) to Theralympic Speech Therapy about 10 months ago. Trevor was in a horrific car accident April of 2023 And suffered a Traumatic brain injury which affected his speech and his cognition. We met with Layna who tested Trevor In different areas of cognition and speech. He really had a difficult time, expressing himself and speaking in general. Since Trevor has been going there, I cannot tell you the progress that Trevor has made. It is truly amazing. He talks very well now. Is able to express himself more and just seems to be much happier overall due to the hard work and dedication of Layna and her students who work alongside of her. Trevor goes to her aphasia group on Thursday’s after speech which has, I feel , given Trevor and the rest of the men in the group a sense of belonging to something and friendship while they learn at the same time how to express themselves. Her adult program is truly amazing! We are so grateful that we found Theralympic Speech and Layna❤️
This is the place to go for all your speech therapy needs. A lot of people bring their kids here, but they also help adults! The staff is incredibly kind and professional. I saw Katie who unfortunately doesn’t work there anymore, but she was life changing in how much help she provided. The staff seems very happy and eager to help. Can’t recommend this place enough!
After going to another hospital for outpatient speech (not SB) and not being happy there. I emailed Theralympic and Layna called me to set up appointment to evaluate my adult son. He suffered a brain injury due to a medical condition. I was happy to hear they took his insurance and also Medicaid and Medicare. The therapist, Layna from Speech and Jessica from Occupational are wonderful. They personalize his lessons and the things he likes and meaningful to him. They are wonderful, compassionate, understanding and sympathetic and so encouraging to him when he gets discouraged. They go above and beyond for my son. If I need their help, they are there. I really love how they have a men’s aphasia group. (They also have one for women too.) My son sees he’s not the only one with some problems. The group has ages from 30’s to 70’s years old. The men in group have a caring attitude towards my son. All the ladies from office staff are kind and friendly. Communication is a priority for both ways. I am so glad I left the other speech place and have my son in this wonderful environment. He has improved so much and I know under Theralympic’s care he will continue to thrive in this environment.
I had the pleasure of having Stephanie and Liz evaluating my soon to be two year old and from the minute they walked in our home I gained a sense of comfort, knowing these ladies love what they do and are eager to make a difference in my daughter’s life. They were extremely supportive, informative, and honest about what the near future looks like. I am eager to see what the future holds.
Theralympic is the best!! All the staff that work there are friendly and kind. Both my children go there and absolutely love it. My son Jonathan started before he was 2 years old and sees Ms Amanda. He’s 3 now and has made so much improvement. He always runs in with a big smile on his face. My daughter Juliana started at Theralympic 6 months ago when she turned 1 and sees Ms Bernadette, she never wants to leave when her session is over. I couldn’t be happier with the progress they both have made and continue to make. I highly recommend Theralympic!!
