Teryl is a talented therapist, but after my encounter with her this morning I will not be going back. I began seeing her as I was in the beginning stages of plantar fasciitis. Teryl made some great footwear recommendation to help address the issue which has help immensely. One of the suggestions was to wear that foot support at all times. This morning I made the mistake of wearing sandals to the massage. It was so weird. Teryl seemed off-put from the beginning. I use public transportation so can't control exactly when they drop me off. I got to the appointment very early, before Teryl did. She had some kind of attitude about her that was just.....snotty. Then she saw that I was wearing sandals. She went into a big ole tirade about how it's so discouraging when people don't follow her recommendations. She hadn't bothered to ask my condition or how I am in general. Finally I said enough is enough, I am not here to be judged. To which she answered she's not judging me, just my behavior. Excuse me ma'am?! I'm here for a massage , NOT a lecture like I am a child. I can understand not wanting to work with a client if they don't seem to be putting in effort to be getting better. To belittle someone though? How unprofessional and rude. If I didn't need the massage so badly I would've just walked away. The kicker is she barely even addressed my number 1 complaint: my sore adductors! Im a fellow therapist so I know that sometimes the actual problem isn't where the pain is, but the actual pain site should be addressed a little too!

If it wouldn't be for this lady I wouldn't be able to walk or turn my neck like I should she is a blessing from the Lord up above

The therapist is a really lovely person. I just prefer a deep tissue massage. So for me it's just okay but for someone else this could be a 5. If you enjoy a soft touch that is soothing and relaxing this is perfect for you.
