Thom Charles River Early Intervention

People don’t always take the time out to review places that they LOVED so I wanted to give a little credit to the fine educators and friends we made at Thom Charles. Our daughter required speech therapy to become more comfortable with language (age 2) and I was hesitant to use this facility as there were hardly any reviews, but that’s got to be just a fluke. The women we worked with through the program were kind, comprehensive and thoughtful. They were truly my daughter’s first friends - and she loved visiting with them for every session. Rebecca, Yumna, Fran and Devon took excellent care of our child each week, helping her to hone her use of language through playgroups and individual meetings. They also assisted in getting her into a Pre-K program once she aged out of early intervention (3 years old), which included accompanying me to my meeting the with school administrators to give their support. I highly recommend this service and these people, they are wonderful with big open hearts, and the facility is lots of fun for the kiddos. If you’re on the fence about EI, don’t be - don’t let shame or stigma stand in the way of getting your baby the assistance they need. Some kids just take a little more time, and now I can’t STOP her from talking 😂 so it definitely paid off. Insurance covers it, and it was truly a life raft I didn’t even fully realize we needed. We have had the most amazing experience with the teams here at Thom EI and I can’t even put into words the amount of gratitude I have for the clinicians and the unparalleled advocacy and work they put in for my son! Would recommend to any and everyone who is thinking of signing their child up for EI!
