Why doesn't the Answering Service answer the calls?
So many people in dire straits come here looking for help. They are told "were here to help you, I will provide all the resources you need!" I will bring you food, today!" and these poor people get blown off, repeatedly! The councelors NEVER show up, they NEVER call with any explanation what so ever. The most needy people in our neighborhoods are repeatedly let down by people who claim to care. How dare you tell people you help the community. No you dont, at all,..... you all should be so ashamed!
Thrive has saved SO Many lives and it's because of the great people who work there. While other major R.I. Behavioral Health Centers have come under the jurisdiction and ownership of large hospital groups, Thrive, Newport BH, and CCA in the North are still NOT operated by large corporate Hospital Groups and all the conflicts of interest that may entail. Thrive has programs that are unique too. There's the Briggs School whose aim is to help kids going through rough patches get back on track and back to the public schools as soon as they can. There's the Hillsgrove Clubhouse that is part of the world-wide Clubhouse International movement. While Massachusetts has around 30 Clubhouses there with their population of 7.2 million. Little Rhody has just one Clubhouse for a million Rhode Islanders, and it's Thrive that makes sure that we have one. Accredited Clubhouses like Hillsgrove will have their people 4x as likely to be employed and in the competitive public job market than consumers not receiving that help. Recovery DOES Happen. (We need more Clubhouses in RI!) Thrive has a prison diversion program originally designed for veterans who had an 80% recidivism (return to prison) rate. Thrive's program has flipped that number upside down saving the State large sums of money and helping vets live dignified lives. Thrive has expanded this program successfully knowing that prison is likely the last place on earth for a person suffering from anxiety or deep depression or psychosis "to get better". Recovery DOES happen! Thrive has a unique program designed around, and for young adults called "Healthy Transitions." Thrive is also successfully partnered with the Warwick Police Department to provide invaluable technical help for officers in the field, who may've had great police training, but not extensive training in Behavioral Health. And of course Thrive has the usual programs like psychiatric prescribers, case management services, homeless outreach, therapy groups, addiction treatment services, group homes, and supervised housing. Again, Thrive has saved SO Many lives and it's because of the great people who work there.
Horrible communication. my mothers caseworker has ignored 2 of my text messages now when i am the only one who can be in contact with her and be updated on what’s going on. this place is a complete joke and the caseworkers don’t care about anything but a paycheck. It’s really disgusting actually if you ask me.
Worse behavioral health facility ever, they think they control your life. My psychicatrist Dr. Belay lied in court about me multiple times, and even brought up my living situation like its his business, got me put in a group home that clearly does not care at all, people dont wash their hands, go to the bathroom with the door open, and one guys butt is always hanging out, I was told "thats what happens when you live in a group home." Also was told to tell the guy to pull his pants up and wash his hands instead of them enforcing it. They also feed you miniscule dinners in the group home, such as 1 cut up hot dog and a half scoop of beans and a tiny piece of corn bread, that litteraly it, and if they mess up on dinner you eat even less. If your thinking about going to thrive go anywhere else. The staff in the group home litteraly laughed and made jokes about someone in the group home cause someone ate her ice cream and she was flipping out. I've been to other behavioral health facilities and they do not take over your life and try to control you like thrive does, plus they cared more and I never felt laughed at like I do at Thrive. They also seperated me from my emotional support animal cause the group home doesnt allow animals and they also do not care if I see him or not, ever since they seperated me from him, ive been vomiting multiple times a day. This place has a 2.6 rating for a reason. DO NOT GO HERE, DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE.
I recently received services at this behavioral health provider, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I was given an incorrect diagnosis and prescribed medication that wasn't right for me. I also felt pressured into taking medication I didn't want. When I asked for a change in medication, my request was refused. To make matters worse, my medical information was released without my consent, and the staff was unprofessional and rude. Overall, I would not recommend this service to others due to the lack of care and respect shown to me.
Always going through prescribers here , Bill extra , they withhold important documents you need for various different things , may take my mental health treatment elsewhere
You will be forced against your will to take medications, even if it doesn’t make you feel good.
A few months ago, I called to get my daughter into counseling. I let them know my family is insured with BCBS and was told that they "prefer to take patients with State insurance", but to call back if I couldn't find anything else. Fast forward to the end of the school year, the guidance counselor gets me to agree to give them another chance, with her referral. At least a week has gone by, and I have yet to receive a phone call from them. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
Tell us what you're looking for and ABA Navigator will help connect your family with care.
