Transformative Health and Wellness

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Transformative Health with Dr. Hegewald. I did not come in seeking a complete overhaul of my existing ADHD diagnosis, which had already been confirmed by two separate medical professionals. Instead of providing compassionate medication management, Dr. Hegewald spent the session questioning my diagnosis and presenting outdated medical information. For anyone seeking mental health care, I cannot recommend Dr. Hegewald. Patients deserve providers who are current with medical research, compassionate, and truly listen to their experiences. He should not be responsible for vulnerable patients' mental health care. Avoid this provider if you want understanding and supportive mental health care. There are other providers at this practice who are much more supportive and current in their education and treatment.

Over the last 8-10 months me and Dr. Lessman has been doing Ketamine Infusion therapy, and as happy as I am that the time has come, I'm also very sad that I might have had my last appointment this week due to the overwhelming success of the treatments. I have never felt more supported and assisted by any group of therapists and doctors until I found this spot. Dr. Lessman gave me my life back. I was shocked at the amount of improvement the treatments were making each week, noticing massive changes in my outlook and demeanor after each, and post initial 6-8 weeks of sessions I finally felt whole again. All it took was a few more check in sessions after and I was fully back on my feet. Each step of the way he was right there with an uncanny knack for truly getting to the bottom of the problems/struggles while always making you feel supported and heard, guiding you to the answer that best fit your scenario. That was impressed me the most, is that there was never a pressure of needing to do something or think a certain way. He always knew how to make you think and come to the best answer for yourself. This is something I'd never experienced in any form of therapy over the last 12 years. Resolutions in therapy are very specific to each individual, and it's clear that the goal of Lessman is to fine the proper and most successful resolution, not force one down your throat. As I said before, I'm very sad that my treatments have possibly ended for good simply because it might be awhile before I bump into the staff here out in the wild. But I will never be able to repay what this place and Dr. Lessman did for me, and I know if anything ever changes they'll be right there in my corner to pick me back up. It feels so good to be living again, thank you for that gift all of you. 💚

Will be handling this further and leaving another future review, but I highly recommend you stay far away from this place. I was told contradicting information about my insurance all summer so I switched to pay out of pocket (which was insane), filed my superbills with my insurance to get reimbursed, my reimbursement was sent to Transformative via electronic deposit back in September for July-Sept appointments, and they refused to pay me. They made me go through my insurance to have them get the money back from Transformative, to resend ME my money instead. Never got it. This is NOT how reimbursements work. Transformative owes me almost $1400, I stopped going in October, and I have been handling the whole mess between them and my insurance all fall. The problem is that Transformative has HORRIBLE communication, whether calling or using their portal. I’ve been stuck in limbo with them telling me contradicting and unhelpful information, forcing me to handle it through insurance. The bottom line is that they DID GET MY REIMBURSEMENT and for whatever reason, would not pay me out, although that is how these things are supposed to be handled. I had an absolutely awful experience here, still handling it months later, and I have so much anger for them they have caused me more stress than ANY help. Once my money is in my hands I will be making further moves and official reports/complaints because I find it incredibly sketchy that they electronically recieved my money and I was just not communicated at all or paid. I’d give it 0 stars if possible. They have made my year hell.

Predatory. Unhelpful. Rude. Condescending.

I’ve been seeing Alex here for massage therapy and it’s been such a wonderful experience! I really appreciate how she tailors the massage to fit my needs. Everyone I’ve interacted with at Transformative has been warm and helpful, highly recommend!

My partner and I have been in couple's counseling and it has helped us with our communication when we moved in together! I really appreciate our therapist and all the work she has done with us. We are transitioning into individual work and the organization is working to get us both set up with our own individual therapists. I love the proactive approach of the staff and their focus on wellness from a variety of angles. I feel prioritized and grateful. Looking forward to continuing care in other avenues!
