Closed my referral without even contacting me why, when I reached out to them they told me to contact the “family navigator”. When I told Elizabeth she wasn’t very helpful she decided to ignore my phone calls. Have the children in mind.
The staff is amazing and awesome and I love how they treat everyone and how helpful they are and how they treat the kids
I took my 2 1/2 year-old daughter here. We’re trying to figure out why she’s hitting and biting she uses words but for the most part sometimes they don’t make sense. She plays with toys. She has great motor skills. They did a test on her that was nonverbal Even though she is verbal. I’m not very happy with this place. I’m going to reach out to the higher department of this building and if I have to, I will seek a lawyer.they say she don’t have autism, which is fine, But the issues we have of her, not eating, Her Biting herself, Excessively screaming when I wash her hair,, Or fix her hair, She’s always overly excessively tired, She doesn’t sleep well at night, So they could’ve just pointed me in the right direction where to go but instead they just said nothing’s wrong with her and she’s fine and her IQ test was 100% very disappointed, And one of the ladies wanted to tell me how she had a degree like she knows more than I know anybody can get a degree what matter matters is if you use that degree for what it’s supposed to be used for not just for your paycheck or because you know something more than somebody else, I have a degree and sometimes with my job in nursing, I learn new things every day
My daughter was referred to the DDC when she was 9 months old. After a lengthy wait, she finally had her appointment at 28 months old. She loved the play area in the waiting room although we weren’t in there long at all! Her providers were spectacular and we were in and out in about 2 1/2 hours with the official diagnosis of level 3 autism. They were very helpful with information. They also helped get her into early head start way before her appointment.
this was a loving safe space for my child to be diagnosed. We met some amazing people who helped us understand more about ASD. I was so worried it would be like any other drs appointment but it wasn’t. They had a room full of fun interactive things for kids to play with and keep them busy while waiting to be called into the back. We were put in one of their larger rooms while waiting on the drs. It had a swing and padded colorful mats that my child loved. We were extremely grateful for all of the drs who helped us understand more about my child. Not only did they educate us but they allowed us to educate them as well. I cannot express how grateful I am for this place. I didn’t have to distract my child in any way, she was not overwhelmed or stressed the entire time which is pretty unusual in a drs office setting. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is wanting to get a diagnosis or even learn more about asd!!!
We got more information on my 6 year old grandson in 15 minutes with the nurse Amanda than we had ever gotten in 6 years. She and Dr Wy were wonderful, they listed to our concerns and addressed all of them.
How do you claim to be a "pediatric developmental center" yet you boot a service animal? Who, mind you, is 14 years old, was leashed, very well behaved, 10lbs, and I had her badge. None of you deserve jobs with children when you clearly don't understand the benefits of service animals. Sketchy doctors, less than decent parking, cold dirty waiting rooms with a TV loud enough to wake the dead... do better or just don't do any of it. Disgusted with driving TWO HOURS, waiting over an hour past our appointment time before you even acknowledged we were there... disgusted. Thanks for making a disabled person's visit terrible. And the boy that followed me to the door like I stole something?! Absolutely DISGUSTED. BBB will be getting this review also.
We waited over a year for my two youngest children to be seen. I was told repeatedly that it would take between 8 to 10 hours for their evaluations. The staff was very nice the DR was polite but that was the end of the good part of this facility. We waited maybe 20 mins to go back there was absolutely no time for this DR to have went over even one of my children large packets of paperwork. I brought everything from their school both of their evaluations for their different therapies everything they would need. The vist did not not even remotely go as I was told it would there was no team there was no individual observation screening. We were only asked questions and were done within 2 hours. She said both of my children had adhd and my son also had an anxiety disorder. Was told there would be no second vist. I feel like all concerns from me their doctor and other medical personnel that they see was ignored. I was mad to feel like I was a stupid country bumpkin that didn’t know My own children’s needs. When their DR called to ask for a second evaluation and a second opinion she was told that was the only visit they were getting and their diagnosis was final. This place is a joke and seems like they just wanted us out as soon as possible. We were disregarded. She said my daughter didn’t show “Classic” symptoms and I have done enough research for girls with autism to know that they mask it.if that is all they go off then why was my son given an adhd diagnosis when he does show classic symptoms. I even brought this up and was just looked at like I was an idiot. I would not be recommending this facility to anyone. We are currently awaiting referral to a different facility in jonesboro. This facility completely brushed off all concerns without even properly going over their files from other therapist and DRs.
