Unique Pathways

I love working with Unique Pathways. They have always been so professional, easy to work with and transparent! I would recommend their team and services again and again!

My son had a valuable experience at Unique Pathways for both ABA and speech therapy. He was much older than the average client, but he was included fully in group lunches, social groups, and summer camps, as well as in his individual direct therapy sessions where he learned life skills, academics, work skills, and age-appropriate board games as well as ones on his phone. (He can actually do Subway Surfer on his iPad with one hand while simultaneously doing it on his phone with his other hand now.) As a large teen, our son needed movement and exercise, so Unique Pathways staff took him to the gym, where he learned to use exercise equipment correctly and worked hard. Both the owner and the BCBA worked to hire male role models for Mark. Just as important, Unique Pathways helped my husband and me become better parents to our son at a time that we knew a lot about autism but were growing tired and jaded. We learned to communicate more clearly and effectively with him and with those who interact with him. They helped us and Mark to become better advocates and to make a smooth, confident transition to an adult day program.

My son came to Unique Pathways for speech services. As parents, we appreciated Megan’s warmth, professionalism, and dedication. Our 5 year old son worked extra hard for her as he had a crush on her! 😂 My son needed some help with articulation and graduated from the speech program after his issue was resolved. Not only did he receive high quality services in the clinic, the speech pathologist provided us with home exercises which ensured a collaborative approach to his success.

Jennifer Helten impressed us time and again with her compassion, direct communication and willingness to work with us through a challenging situation. Her team spent over two months as full day in-school shadows with our kindergartener and helped facilitate a much smoother school experience for our family. Their goal was always to teach new coping skills and new thinking patterns rather than to simply change behavior. We felt that someone understood our child and our parenting experience for the first time and had concrete suggestions on how to help. We can’t say enough great things about Unique Pathways!

Unique Pathways has provided services to my son for a number of years. I have been extremely happy with the personal and guidance that Unique Pathways has provided to him. The staff at UP are highly trained and caring professionals. The leadership at UP will take a personal interest to help the development of your child and will seek to tailor programs accordingly. The UP staff will provide insight and feedback and worth with you as the parent to enhance the life of your child.
