the doctor who did my ADHD testing made up things (things I never said or implied) that he put in my summary.

Highly knowledgeable staff. The professionals I’ve met are very friendly, kind, professional and easy to talk to.

They were amazing till they weren’t. Once you get any level beyond what the provider thinks is worthy of his care and concern he discards you to Iowa City, doomed to wait and wait. And won’t give you any of the support he once did. It’s wrong! Just completely wrong! I used to recommend people go to Shawn Plunkett. Never again!

Using the MyChart app to request an appointment will not work. Even though when you call the clinic it says you can. This is because it is the same automated message for all the clinics. You HAVE to call to make an appointment at this location.

I’ve never had such a sexist experience with a doctor. I have been misdiagnosed for years and came to the clinic with a diagnosis I felt to be the most inclusive of my experience but was not taken seriously. The doctor used questionnaires based on the male model (which I recognize is the standard), but when I tried showing him the research I found that was more inclusive for women he immediately dismissed it as irrelevant. I tried to advocate for myself and shared my journey into why I came to the diagnosis that I did, but because I mentioned that TikTok inspired me to do more research, all he heard was “TikTok” and started mansplaining about how social media deceives people into thinking they have illnesses that they don’t actually have. I’m aware that social media is not an accurate source of information, which is why I also did research. He disregarded my opinions that I have spent years mulling over with my husband and picked out the things he wanted to hear. I anticipate to receive a misdiagnosis from Dr. Brown. I also called the number that Unity Point keeps posting below that supposedly connects you to a patient advocate to address your concerns in your review. It doesn’t. The person on the other end sounded like they had no idea their number was posted as the patient advocate for Unity Point. I double checked that I dialed the right number and I had. Clearly, they don’t value our feedback. All of the one star reviews are accurate and I’m shocked that no one has tried to sue for malpractice. Do not go to this clinic.

I can't even tell you how many years I have been with the team....7,8,9? I personally have never had any issues. My doctor listens to me. That is #1. He ask me how I feel. What I think I need. He takes his time with me and never rushes. I have had my meds adjusted multiple times and I feel I will never find the perfect life lasting cocktail. He is still patience with me and never lets me feel that my feelings are wrong. I was seeing him and a therapist both, but it is very hard with work hours. I had to cut one out. Although I need both. The gals up front, I personally have never had an issue with any of them. Before the wonderful 2020 hit, I would go get checked in and visit with the receptionist in between patients. I will continue to go here until my doc retires and then we will have to see what happens. They never make me feel like my issues are a burden. Yes there has be a few communication errors, nothing major. It happens, we are human. The main point is when I can contact them whenever I have a problem even out of appointment time, they still take care me as fast as they can. Thank you all!!
