UnityPoint Health – Eyerly Ball – Behavioral Health Access Center

I’ve been coming here for over 6 months and haven’t had a bad experience until recently. After getting to my appointment early yesterday, I waited 15 min after my initial appointment time and had to reschedule a leave. Fast forward to today, I arrive, again a bit early. Upon arrival my toddler wants to play on the wall games in the lobby. She runs over and I keep an eye from the front desk as I wait to check in. The lobby is full and there is a grown gentleman (another patient dealing with their own mental health) but he is becoming too close to my child. Two women at the desk sit there, doing things on their computers, understandably, but this goes on for over 5 minutes. There is no communication of “we will be right with you” “it’ll be a few minutes”. Nothing. I understand having tasks to complete, but it takes two seconds to communicate to the patient waiting. I made it clear I needed checked in or I’ll just go sit and wait until they’re ready. It was a completely unnecessary experience and one that doesn’t need to happen again please communicate with your staff to be clear with everyone and not make people wait without explanation

Staff were extremely rude when my family member was having a crisis. Would not recommend for pediatrics AT ALL. Was told it was a six week wait for med management and have waited 11 weeks and they just keep saying we’re on the list but no follow up.

Regardless of how this turns out, I want to thank you dearly for taking more than 15 minutes to try and accommodate my partner into your schedule

When I was having increased anxiety and insomnia postpartum, I did not sleep for 6 days. It was an absolute nightmare. My OB office recommended coming to this clinic and I’m so glad I did! Everyone was so helpful through out the process, especially Hannah Crocker, NP. When I expressed wanting to breastfeed but not being sure what medication was effective but also indicated while breastfeeding, she appraised the research and was able to help me make an informed decision. She is a very compassionate provider and it’s clear how much she cares for her patients. Thank you all again for helping me through a really tough time!

This place saved our lifes until our next appointment for my step-daughter. Staff was amazing, very compasionate and the Doctor also very helpful and kind.

Not helpful at all

This clinic is amazing! The whole process from registration to seeing the therapist and provider was seamless. I highly recommend this as an option if you are unable to get into your primary care provider for your behavioral health concern.

Disappointed in being turned away for treatment. I’ve heard good things about this clinic and tried using it with my daughter but when we got there they acted like this wasn’t a walk-in urgent care clinic. The receptionist acted like it was odd that we had never been there before and didn’t have an appointment. Their hours are till 5. We got there at 4:15 to be told that they wouldn’t see us because they close at 5 and they need atleast one to two hours. They said we could be seen tomorrow if we arrive before 4. So fair warning, they really close at 4 and want you to have an appointment.
