Untangled Yarn & Fiber

We came into town on a cruise ship and wandered around in the pouring rain to find this shop. It's a treasure chest! And the owner is so friendly and helpful that you feel like you've known her forever. She helped me find the perfect yarn for a small project. I also found stitch markers decorated with cats. So much more fun than my boring plastic markers. This shop is definitely worth the walk from the pier.

Absolutely love this place. The owner has a magnificent selection of hand dyed yarn that she crafts herself AND beautiful colorways from all over the world. Can’t wait to visit again in my next trip to Ketchikan.

Stopped in today during our excursion at the port. Untangled _is_ open after the landslide as damage was further north. Had a great time checking out her personally dyed fibers while she helped a customer pick out a crochet hook for a whole new project (hair dying). Picked out her newly crafted colorway, “Wine and Cheese” to enjoy with a glass of Merlot on the deck. 5 stars, will visit again if I ever come back.

Deborah was awesome!! We wandered in hoping to check out the yarn and see if we could learn a little bit about weaving. She spent at least half an hour showing my husband an in-progress weaving project and how it all works. She was incredibly knowledgeable about many different things and was happy to answer our questions. Yarn selection was seriously impressive. We'll definitely be back!
