I was repeatedly double-, triple-, and quadruple-charged for sessions that I had already paid for. My therapist routinely canceled last minute, or just didn't show up at all (when sessions were virtual). There seemed to be a lot of turnover in staff.

I had an appointment scheduled with a psychiatrist at this practice. I was called two weeks ago, saying that I had to reschedule because the Doctor would not be available. But I couldn't reschedule with the Doctor because they no longer had any appointments available. So I would have to reschedule with the nurse practitioner. So I did for the next day, which would be tomorrow. Today I get a slew of phone calls while I'm teaching, being a teacher, I can't pick up the phone while I'm in the class, and said I needed to fill out my paperwork. I was already planning on doing it tonight but when I went to fill it out they had already cancelled my appointment. I have never had a doctor's office act this way. if you want people to fill paperwork out days before an appointment then say so, don't say fill out before your appointment, then cancel before the deadline even happens. A mental health place should know that some people parcel out their tasks to make life manageable. What an unprofessional practice.

Very professional atmosphere. Dr. Burroughs matched me with the perfect therapist (Ms. Yameeka Bailey) for me and the support staff (Ms. Kendia Wilder) goes above and beyond.

My daughter is a student in the area and needed a doctor. I originally made the appointment with Dr. Burroughs, but somehow she saw Dr. Dowdell! What a blessing! My daughter came home In December, and was having a crisis. My husband and I were at our wits in and were thinking about admitting her into the hospital. This was a Saturday afternoon, so I decided to call the office hoping for a miracle! Dr. Dowdell answered the phone! Our Miracle! She pulled my daughter’s file and immediately knew what the problem was when I told her what was going on! So very pleased with this office! Oh yeah, the other ladies in the office are really nice every time I call.

What can I say but phenomenal women in the office. I looked around for over a year to find a stable mental health provider for my daughter. I came across this office and my experience has been nothing but pleasant. From the receptionist, therapist, and doctors everyone is so pleasant. You are putting you child in good hands with urban behavioral health
