Their team provides individualized speech therapy and occupational therapy tailored to each child’s unique needs, and you can tell they genuinely care about the families they serve. As a local mental health therapist, this is the kind of place I feel confident referring my own clients to. I can’t say enough good things about Urban Speech and Occupational Therapy, and especially Dr. Lauren. I chose Lauren because of her extensive, genuinely impressive educational background, and she has absolutely lived up to it. My son isn’t a typical OT candidate, and I was nervous we’d get a one size fits all approach. Instead, Lauren took the time to truly understand him. She used a thoughtful range of assessments to identify his unique profile, then designed interventions that actually fit him, not a generic checklist. The clinic itself is top tier. It is bright, modern, and welcoming with lots of windows, and several kid gyms that are clean, versatile, and clearly designed with intention. Sessions often take place in the gym space, and it is the kind of environment where kids can move, regulate, and build skills without feeling like they are being worked on. What stands out most is how much they genuinely care. This is not a corporate conglomerate. It feels like a small business where people know you, notice you, and want things to go well. The owner is almost always there when we arrive and has gone out of her way to make us feel welcome and to make sure we’re having a good experience. We’ve been coming for several months and we’ve seen real, tangible results. My son has made notable improvements in school and even in sports. Just as importantly, seeing Lauren weekly has filled his cup. He feels seen, valued, and capable, and that confidence carries over into the rest of his week. And honestly, I’ve received that support, too. As a Mom to a kiddo with sensory needs that are often perceived by teachers as defiance or trouble making behaviors, I didn’t realize how much I was also needing to feel seen, heard, and supported. Dr Lauren has been TJ advocate I didn’t know I needed, but am so grateful to finally have. During our short time here, we’ve found community and support. I’ll be sad when our time comes to a close. But I know that makes space for a new kiddo to begin their journey. You’ve got this!

We had been using speech services at another business but this place was recommended due to them using a certain technique. Since starting here, our son has greatly improved his speech. He continues to require services but I have been very happy with the results thus far. We also started occupational therapy here in the last year and that has been helping our son in other ways. Any time a therapist is out or we need to move an appointment, they are very accommodating and ALL of the therapists there are very trustworthy and kind. It really feels like an extension of family here and I would highly recommend them to anyone I know.

My son is on the autism spectrum, has a speech delay and has been seeing Kristina for ~3 years. He has seen steady improvement over time with her guidance and coaching. It’s been great working with someone who understands PROMPT therapy. I also have a second son who isn’t on the spectrum but who has articulation issues. He is literally excited every time he realizes we are headed to “speech class” with Maris , his SLP.

Look no further for your OT and speech therapy needs! The entire staff is absolutely incredible and so warm and welcoming. Each and every staff member is so passionate about their job and you can feel the love the minute you walk in. We are so blown away by Isabel, speech therapist. We have 2 sons seeing her weekly for speech and the progress has been amazing to watch and see. We appreciate the assessments every few months as well as homework sheets for us to practice at home! We Can't recommend enough!!

Urban Speech has been so wonderful for my 5 year old son! On top of being very knowledgeable and professional they are extremely patient, kind and fun. My son loves his speech sessions and is improving each visit!

Urban Speech & Occupational Therapy is simply the best! My twins started attending back in 2023 and have improved their speech significantly! Julie has done an amazing job making sure the service her team provides to each client is above and beyond. She has created a welcoming environment where children of all ages can enjoy. We love the new space! Kristin, always welcomes us with a smile and is happy to assist in any way she can. We have worked with multiple therapists and they have all been wonderful. I'll never forget the day McKenzie took a few minutes at the end of the session to work on the word Sushi with my daughter. It took a few teaching techniques for my daughter to fully pronounce it correctly, but once she said it, the excitement was unforgettable! She says it correctly without hesitation. A huge win for our family and her speech therapist! Isabel is amazing she has a fun, playful, yet challenging way of teaching and my daughter loves it! We love Kristina and Luca, we hope our schedules align in the near future. Thank you all for all the hard work and dedication! I see the passion and patience you all have for each individual. We have had an incredible experience with Urban Speech Therapy in Eden Prairie. My son has childhood apraxia of speech, and over the past year he has worked with Isabel, Kristina, and Maddie. The progress he has made since starting at Urban Speech has been amazing. The SLPs are knowledgeable, patient, and truly care about the children they work with. They have been so supportive of both my son and our family throughout this journey. We are extremely grateful for everything they have done to help him grow in confidence and communication.
