If I could rate one star, I would. DO NOT waste your time with this facility. I had to use governmental assistance to afford this therapy (they do not take insurance, no exceptions) and they double dipped my payments, promised me they don’t send anything to debt collectors, still did, and on top of all that cut me off of my therapy with no notice. They got my payment from the government and then made me pay on top of that. DO NOT GO HERE. the way they treat patients like cash cows is entirely unethical. The creator of DBT created it to be accessible for everyone and shame on this center for taking that away.

Was a complete waste of time dealing with this company for CEUs. Warning: Do not take any continuing education courses with this organization. While the lectures are just fine, but the course exams, question writing and scoring are completely inadequate and not ready for public use. They'll also change quiz questions and upload exams without warning and ask you to retake quizzes that you've already passed and refuse to give a certificate. If you ask for a refund, they'll keep $7 saying it's administrative. They are advertising a faulty CEU product and still profiting $7.

Just to get a diagnosis is THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS and isn't covered by insurance. Then, they also screw people over by providing no treatment plan. This place is a FRAUD! Avoid at all costs! Go somewhere that will treat the problem, not enable people to use diagnosis as an excuse for poor behavior! THIS IS NOT THERAPY! This is performative validation for profit! No help was provided! Just to receive the actually diagnosis took months and from the experience knowing the patient that they diagnosed, they weren't thorough in their assessments. It seems extremely ironic that for a place that has "evidence based treatment" in the name, there's of evidence of treatment being provided after a costly diagnostic process that isn't covered by insurance. Seems to me that that's evidence that this is a scam. It's strange that they give a diagnosis of an extremely rare condition, which, upon reading up on multiple articles and studies, requires extensive analysis for, while also missing blaring evidence of an eating disorder which can be visibly seen. It makes me question if they even met the patient face to face or if they just took the money and gave him whatever he wanted to excuse his poor behavior. Also while I'm at it, there are multiple diagnoses that were made without sufficient evidence and analysis on the situation at hand. It seems like this place is more of a "pay to get whatever official diagnosis you need to continue having horrible behavior and we won't ask any questions" place than a place that actually wants to help people. I also have read some other reviews and done some digging and I've noticed that those leaving high reviews are also leaving reviews for fancy restaurants that cost around 30-50 dollars per person on a regular basis. It would appear that they only treat people based on how much money they have. Reminds me of Jodi Hildebrandt who would do the same thing 🤔 On top of everything else, this facility acts like it cares about marginalized populations and seems very pro lgbtq, but since they are aware that a therapist with those qualities is a commodity in Utah these days, they charge top dollar and typically make lgbtq affirming diagnoses without providing real evidence. They just affirm people who think they could be members of that group in order to keep them coming back for more validation. More validation = more money for the business. They're just a bunch of greedy scammers.

My experience was with the Center’s subsidiary practice based in Colorado, The Colorado Center for Evidence Based Treatment. Some life-change challenges led me to seek some support through the use of my employer’s EAP (Employee Assistance Program). I feel fortunate and grateful to have met and worked with provider Dr. Alex Ertl. He is professional, perceptive, down-to-earth, comfortable in his own skin, insightful and authentic. After our initial meeting and assessment, we agreed upon a plan or course for my therapy that made sense given the limited number of sessions my EAP benefit permitted. He was quite flexible with his schedule and the venue/mode for meeting. I wanted an in initial in-person meeting, followed by remote tele-sessions thereafter. Done. I am pleased with the work we’ve done. I am optimistic about the future, and genuinely feel I have a couple new tools in my coping tool box to use when needed in the future. I am most grateful.

UCEBT is my go-to referral in the Salt Lake City area. The practice owners and therapists are warm, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable and skilled. Absolutely recommend.

I highly recommend UCEBT! I had the pleasure of getting to work with several of their staff members, Jennifer, Karina, and Laura, who were incredibly kind and patient with me. They really care for their patients, and it shows!
