Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
I walked in with 30+ years of trauma. Julie has significantly changed my life for the better. I love everything about this office. From the lobby to the receptionist (that you can text if there are issues) to the way I personally am being treated and handled. I've been in therapy for a lot of years and have fired MANY therapists. She just... gets me. I'm so incredibly thankful I gave Wellness Associates a try because I finally feel like I'm MAKING PROGRESS.
My husband and I were both patients here, I saw Tammy and he saw Chris. First Tammy is awesome and she deserves to work for a better place and that’s all I’ll say about that. April 23rd my husband apparently had an appointment HE set through Chris. Day of my daughter fell and had her spacer go through the roof of her mouth. Now given I have panic disorder I was solely focused on this and the worst possible outcomes, not my phone and obviously not my husband’s phone given I’m not his personal calendar. The receptionist wrote ME around 2 (as shown below) to ask me if he was joining his online session. I obviously didn’t see this as I was focused on my daughter and had no clue he made an appointment because again HE made the appointment although I don’t mind helpful reminders. I did see it finally at the Ortho appt as my daughter was being worked on. I quickly told him and he walked out to the car to join not realizing it was sent an hour before. Here is where the 1 star would come into play here. Receptionist had been informed now that HE was looking at his phone and that she, knowing I was in a medical situation, could write him with anything further because HE WAS THE PATIENT! But instead I guess because I’m a women she decided to write me, only me this time, with the fact that he missed it, and then proceeded to tell ME not HIM that he would be charged a late fee. How is this mine to deal with at that time? To say my stress was through the roof with my crying daughter in horrible pain along with billing information and medical information I shouldn’t have even had known about let alone been text about even AFTER telling the receptionist where we were. Now I could care less about a missed appointment fee, he did miss the appointment. The audacity to write me this annoying information knowing he literally was in the car with his phone waiting to figure it out was just insulting to both of us. Treating him as a child who needs a “momwife” to manage his billing information when the release form wasn’t even signed to do so and to me for assuming that this information was at all pressing with the stress at hand. When I called to speak to her and set clear boundaries on this in a stern and concise tone (as I was literally taught to do in therapy ironically) She choose to ignore anything I had to say, when I finally asked with my husband on speaker with me, for us to be removed from their services going forward I was flat denied cancellation and hung up on. When checking to see if I could cancel through the web site (which you can’t) I found that they had billed only one insurance so I needed to call once more to have the billing issue fixed. She refused to take my calls (multiple times) both to confirm cancellation, as the appointment was still in the online calendar and fix the billing issues. Nothing. So I left messages for Chris on his voicemail, he later text my husband about how I was “rude and ABUSIVE” to the receptionist when I called with my firm tone and boundary setting. He was honestly blown away by the term “abusive” as he was right next to me when I called. This unfortunately broke his trust that Chris could at all remain an unbiased therapist to him and he agreed to cancel any future sessions for him and he actually waived the fee we didn’t really care about and to fix the billing on my account, but which was within minutes. BUT that’s not the end folks! I literally could not get the receptionist to answer my calls for days to cancel my session with Tammy. I had to text my therapists personal number to cancel which she did because she is the only professional there I imagine. But wait! A few days after the canceled appointment a $25 fee has appeared in my account as if I had the session and it was billed wrong again. But I didn’t ever have that appointment and once again no answer from either my husband or my phones to fix this. The fact that Chris oversees Tammy in this operation is mind blowing. Joe filed a HIPAA complaint through the gov but I hope we hear nothing about it. Don’t use this place I beg you!
Caring kind professional service. Willing to help and work with all my needs
I was hopeful, I called and spoke with Chris. He said he would speak to his team Wednesday and then get back to us. I didn’t see his number come back up and a week had passed. I went to the website and emailed from the site. Still no reply. If no ones willing to take us for family counseling then please just say we can’t. Or I don’t have openings. Instead we are clinging to hope that was never there. We will look elsewhere But I’m very hurt and worried people only ask for help until they give up realizing it will never come. And I alone can not figure situation out without setting of triggers for others. I needed help. I keep asking and looking and reading trying to fix this all myself but perhaps I need to go to schooling to figure this out I just hope I’m not to late
Will always reccomend- Thx
