I have been seeing Katie Baker since 2022. I really enjoyed our sessions and had a great relationship with her. I got the flu and slept through an appointment. After 3 years, I was dropped. I tried calling multiple times just to talk to Katie. Melissa the receptionist will not return your calls. Period. Out of desperation, I wrote a heartfelt letter. No response. I was not given all of my medication and was left scrambling. Depressed and unmedicated. I thought Katie actually cared about me. She does not.

Please be wary if you choose to go here… my husband was dropped with no warning or notification. When he went to contact them, he realized he could no longer contact them through their portal, and then after calling numerous times he finally got a response that he would no longer be seen. At that point he was running low on his meds and asking if he could get a refill until he was able to find another doctor, which he was told would be fine, and then they called back 24hrs later to be told would not happen. As such he has gone through withdrawal from the meds that he had been on regularly when he no longer had them to take. When he asked them to send a formal letter detailing that he had been dropped for insurance purposes of finding a new doctor he was told they would “get around to it when they could.” It all was extremely unprofessional. He was unable to make his last scheduled appointment due to the health issues he was seeing them for, something he tried to call them about (with no response) and messaged them about on the portal (with no response) and they have since said that his lack of appearance was an issue with them.

Everyone at the office are courteous and professional. My phone calls are promptly returned. I can't recommend them more!

This office is extremely unprofessional they never return phone calls no access to medical records and no ethics ! I would highly recommend speaking with Bernie Sanders office to file a complaint with the state of VT This is not how a medical professional should be ! Would not recommend they are truly not interested in your health care .they will just say don't have panic attacks when it is not under control not very professional! FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS !

The staff here is very kind and understanding. I've been seeing Dr. LaPlante for a long time now and can say that he's, by far, the best Psychiatrist in all of southern Vermont. The receptionist is also very helpful and understanding, and has always returned my calls and made sure to give me reminders for each appointment. They really are willing to work with people and the different backgrounds we all come from. I think the main confusion here in the reviews stems from the fact that they are closed every day for lunch hour, and that the office is closed on Fridays, but they are very clear about this in their voicemail prompt.

Posting under an anonymous name for privacy purposes. First…Sarah Stout dropped me without informing me. Second…this is the most unprofessional place l've ever been to. If I could give it zero stars I would. The receptionist is so rude, obnoxious and utterly disrespectful. She rarely returns calls, makes assumptions and accusations when she does call. I would highly recommend finding a better place to seek help especially if you need medication and good support. In my experience there is many other places that could aid you, this is not the one.

Obviously everyone has their own perceptions, and experiences. However, the front desk person has been one of the kindest, and professional office person in a medical office I have interacted with. Katy has been really amazing with med management, and genuinely seems to care and listen.
