Do not ever show up here for anything. Jodi Maxner doesn't help you with anything and she shows no respect for your boundaries especially for neurodivergent, sick, and disabled people who need to rest or move on with their life. I'm tired of everyone walking over me. I'm so done.
Don't ever see Seth Resnick for any mental health services As the only psychiatrist I had known and had previous appointments with, I tried to reestablish contact with him to look into testing accommodations. Mind you, this was after I was diagnosed already with MDD by him a year earlier. I reached out to establish a new communication pipeline (respectfully in tone, I still have the original text message) only for him to answer the call, tell me I was not being clear in what I wanted, and to "call him back" when I was more clear about things. I was clear: I wanted to look into options for accommodations - not sure what other clarity you'd seek. Great way to stonewall. And then he texted me after the call, with a whole CYA message about how the phone call was really just him trying to give me the benefit of looking into options. He's lost the human touch of being a doctor years ago clearly. I have the texts too. I think he'll put more time into responding to this review than he'll ever put into treating you as a patient (unless he sees you as viable $$$)
Our daughter cannot be happier with the care, comfort, and kindness of WJCS advocates and therapists. This is an amazing well rounded organization with a ton of knowledge and expertise and we are thankful !!
My daughter recently had a breakdown and was recommended by her pediatrician to see a therapist at WJCS. For privacy reasons I won't say the therapists name. Seeing a therapist is new for my daughter since she doesn't like to let her guard down. The therapist was able to gain her trust and got my daughter to break down that wall brick by brick. Everyone who works there, including the other therapists, have been extremely nice and comforting. I can't even quantify how grateful I am for her therapist and her therapist saved my daughter's life. I highly recommend WJCS especially if you are in the same predicament as myself with your teenage daughters.
I would not recommend it for student advocacy. It is kind of a scam. I was searching for an advocate to represent me at the worst school district in Westchester, and the student advocate from here ended up teaming up with the school district, charging me fees for what she did not did at all, which was represent my child's best interest with the school district. Even getting mad at me because I had to fill for the DUE process in order to protect my kid's right. Don't wast your time and money.
