The staff is very nice. If you get referred here, you will probably have to wait at least three to four months to start because of how booked the place gets.
We are currently using the witwer children center for our son. He is currently seeing a speech therapist (Mrs. Hannah) and previously an occupational therapist. Words cannot describe what this place means to us. Their special techniques not only deliver exceptional results for our son but for us too. Daily techniques that go soooo far. This is a place that you can go and clearly see that everybody working there is around the clock dedicated. You never see one of them in a bad mood. This is a place that makes you feel like there is hope. And lastly they give you the tools to make tomorrow a little better, and that's huge. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I love the staff at both locations. My 3 year old twin boys have speech sessions and my 9 month old does physical therapy on the SW side and the same 9 month-old does occupational therapy in Hiawatha. My 9 month old had heart failure with an unknown cause which made it hard for OT and PT to make a plan for her. They were understanding and aware of the potential problems she would face. The plan was made clearer when they diagnosed a possible stroke while in the womb. The team is knowledgeable, patient and never dismissive of her symptoms and thanks to them she has progressed and stayed caught up on her milestones.
I wish I could share in what seems like a good experience from Witwer but after numerous calls to them to try and get scheduled, not a single call was returned. I had referrals faxed over by my doctor 3 times and I faxed them one as well and called to follow up. All I got...we will call you back to schedule. What a pity.
The staff is amazing!! The staff helped my son tremendously. When it comes to billing make sure YOU have called your insurance even if they stated they called and checked for coverage. If they say your covered make sure you double check. Wither makes sure your covered but they don't check to see if there's any stipulations.
