Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
When i first got my services through Yeled, everything went fine, i had a great case worker and was always in touch with her. Once my child went out of EIP, I did not have with whom to talk to. They took away my service i was getting, blaming it on the BOE. After a state meeting with them on the line, the BOE confirmed that everything was released and approved from their end to which they quickly responded that they'll check into it and lmk. It has been six weeks of leaving emails and VM before hearing back from them that there is nothing they can do now. I was in touch with the speech therapist as well she confirmed that she is available for him. No explanation and no excuse for dropping us one minute to the next at such a crucial developmental age.
I qualify for dental they would not accept me unless I switch over my regular doctor to their facility which I think is against the law but who am I to fight it? Could you imagine a Jewish place and they won’t accept someone because he doesn’t want to come only to them very shameful.
I signed our son up for ABA Therapy via Yeled v’Yalda. The application was long, detailed, and cumbersome so I assumed the point of entry was excessive because the services were highly sought after and perhaps competitive. We were sent a Para and Therapist not long after. We were relieved. Finally, we thought, there was a solution for our son who is in serious need of services. Instead we were connected with a Therapist that seemed unusually uncomfortable in our home. The Therapist was contracted to spend 1 hour per week with our son and to train the Para on what to do for the 20 hours she was to spend enforcing the ABA lessons with our son. That did not happen. The Therapist only worked with our son for up to 15minutes per session and left the remainder of the work up to his assigned Para. As soon as the Therapist left, we were informed by his Para that she was hired quickly AND WITHOUT ANY TRAINING whatsoever. She was sent to work with us without a plan, tools, a checklist nothing except for herself. Eventually I asked said Para for her State ID because she was contracted to spend 20 hours in our home, she was happy to provide us with her ID, which was great except her ID did not match the name that she gave us. It was a completely different name. Scary. Needless to say she did not provide my son with ABA Therapy because she never had training or experience. She was literally winging it so if you are searching for an experienced or even licensed ABA therapist you will not receive it through this very underdeveloped service. In fact, ask for Licensure and State ID because this felt like a money grab and money grab. My heart is broken for all of the special needs children who go without their needs being met. Organizations like this should be reported to New York State. They truly give ABA a bad name. Smh Side note: my son is very hyperactive and was running in and out of his bedroom. She asked if she could close the door with him and I told her no of course. How can anyone leave their kid in a room with a new adult unsupervised? I offered our balcony as an alternative and she was very much annoyed. The weather was perfect and It doubly creeped me out when her State ID did not match the name Yeled gave me or the name she gave me. Weird.
Great staff Great gym Awsome IT team!
My son was in the Early Intervention Program with Yeled v Yalda. I cannot say enough about the therapists and the coordinators. We had a very positive experience with this organization.
