I met Jenn in 2012 when my son was 5 and had received a diagnosis of regressive autism a year and a half prior. I had researched the maze of autism information and was paralyzed with the "spectrum" of solutions. We were at a point were we could not go out in public for fear of meltdowns that often consisted of collapsing on the sidewalk with lots of refusal and tears. Jenn offered an individualized plan for our family and assured me that we were not too late. Although her services are costly, I have never regretted using her skills. She gave us a confidence to understand, work with and appreciate ASD. She coaxed and instructed us through behavior issues, potty training, transitions and grief experiences. She provided a wealth of counseling, literature, videos and visuals, that we are still using 7 years later. If Jenn doesn't know an immediate solution for a specific situation, she will research and get back with one. I highly recommend Autism Educates.
In 2002, Jen first introduced me to the mystery of Autism, a disorder I knew very little about. But, there was one thing I did know, Jen put all of her energy and love into helping those living with Autism. Fast forward to today, we now live in a world catching up to her knowledge and experience of Autism and she is still my go-to expert. In 2012, I became the step mother of a girl with Aspergers, a brilliant girl who had a lot of feelings, sensitivities and nuances I am still trying to understand. Jen was there with her super cape on, referring her tools to guide us all with this new diagnoses and trajectory in our lives.
Wow, how lucky we were to stumble upon Jen. Our son had been struggling for 2.5 years in private school with various other resources in place. All of these failed him. Jen came to our rescue and helped us regain control and successfully transition him to a new school in the middle of the year. She became the positive voice we needed to hear. Her enthusiasm for what she does is obvious and contagious.
Autism Educates was life changing for our family. Jennifer Lingle is excellent with children on the spectrum, their families and educators- she bridges the gap between the 3-making life on the spectrum manageable. If you are struggling and overwhelmed with sensory issues, meltdowns and the lack of understanding from schools-look no further than Autism Educates!
Jen is amazing. Not only has she helped us see the world through our son's eyes, but she has helped the school system see the world through his eyes too. I am sure every parent/caregiver with a child on the spectrum has sought out support or advice. At a time in our lives when we need that help the most, Jen was that person for us. Through her website, periscopes, consulting, and so much more, Jen has provided so much support to our son, our family, and his school. She is dedicated to helping improve the lives of kids and families on the spectrum. I honestly don't know what we would have done without her.
