We started services with ALP back in November 2023, and we already had 4 to 5 behavioral technicians since then, and it hasn't even been a full year. If you have been to the facility, all the kids are just running around while the BTs are chatting. It's very disorganized, and it looks like a glorified daycare. BTs are fresh out of high school with no experience. When I asked for a BT that has experience, since I've tolerated all this BS I was told, they cannot guarantee experienced BT. If you're really serious about getting services for your child, I would not recommend this place. The only great thing about this place is our first BT Minh. She was promoted to project manager. She was good at what she did and was very passionate about her job.
My son was with ALP for about 5 months. The therapists are kind but there is need for training, especially to those working directly with our kids.
Theyll just play with your kid. When you speak up about it theyll get mad. Also, if they send you a new BT that person will not be informed about your child(ren)'s case. Theyre soft and unwilling to properly do theyre jobs. Theres articles popping up about ABA quality as a whole. Take that into consideration before continuing.
In 6 months of therapy, we had so many different people that the therapy was not effective. Also, the therapists were just kids out of college or still studying and had no experience.
My son has been receiving services from here for about a year and a half now. The individuals that have worked with us have been great at creating plans and implementing them. The biggest problem that we have experienced since starting services with them is the high turnover rate of their DSPs. Our latest DSP is amazing but because of the history we have experienced with receiving these services is that it is only a matter of time before they leave the company, forcing us to try out another DSP. Though, it seem like the employees that they have been hiring lately is much much better than those they've hired when we first started. The progress that my son has made is just amazing. I strongly believe that ALP has helped our son accomplish things much faster. Of course, all of his progress is a combination of what ALP has done, length of time since my son started any services - not just with ALP, ability and consistency of guidance at home via parents and siblings, and hugely, the ASD program he receives from PUSD. Take any of those things a way and I'm sure he would be no where as close to the progress of where he is today. We appreciate everyone at ALP that has helped us and our son.
