The Asst director latiqua seems nice with a smile but very unprofessional. Managment here are very personal not professional. Parents bring their children with special needs to this school and professionalism isn’t displayed once there word is given. They deal with people on a personal level and not p Professionalism. It’s children’s education and therapy. That’s a state here and they refuse children because of their personal reasons. It’s really sad because all children no matter color race situation especially with special needs. Need help. I would not recommend my child anybody else’s child to go to the school unless this management is replaced because the school itself like the ABA therapy. Therapist are very nice and professional.
We transferred from another provider and have been with Autismness ABA since its inception. All of the therapists know our son and greet us warmly whenever we're on-site. He loves their gym equipment and the center is clean. He becomes very excited when we pull into the parking lot :). We appreciate the consistency (he's had the same therapist for over a year) and the communication received. His BCBA, NaTasha, took the time to develop a relationship with my son, listen to our concerns and goals, and observe him at school before making recommendations or altering his plan. She is compassionate and created an actionable plan that truly takes my son's strengths and weakness into consideration. From my experience their BCBAs encourage collaboration and regularly communicate with his teachers and therapists from other disciplines. The owners are parents themselves who are committed to this community and promote education and kindness. We've enjoyed working with the team at Autismness ABA!
Georgia is blessed to have Autismness ABA. I am so thankful they are there to help these children! The owners have special insight in this as they have two children of their own with autism, so they understand in ways others may not.
I honestly don't know what I would have done without Autismness. We needed a place that could help my son build skills and better verbalize his feelings without acting out. What we got, without knowing we needed it, was a center that loved my son exactly how he was. Molly, Taylor and staff partnered with my son to help him succeed in areas where he was struggling and in turn, he made friends and his self-esteem grew. He got to show leadership, something he doesn't get to do in public school often. And he shined just being around people who understood him and had no desire to change the core of who he is, just teach him skills in his own language. It was the lifeline we needed. The goals were clearly communicated, hand offs were seamless and feedback was taken seriously. My son grew so much and we truly miss going.
Our son has been receiving therapy at Autismness ABA since 2022 and we have seen such a change in him! He is more patient, vocal, able to follow directions and just overall happier; he looks forward to ABA every day! Autismness provides our son with a therapist during his school day as well, and that has helped him tremendously with focusing on tasks, regulating his behaviors and helping him socialize with the kids in his class! All of the BCBAs and RBTs our son has worked with have been wonderful as well! Thank you to Autismness for finally helping me and my husband breathe easier knowing that our son is in good hands while he is learning and developing these important skills he will need for life... it has meant the world to our family!
This review is very difficult to write but I feel that it’s very important to share with any family looking for an ABA clinic to call home. My son had a great time at the clinic when they first started and they were a smaller operation back in January of 2022. Once they expanded to their new center, things started to go downhill. They grew too fast, changed therapists too often, and no longer had parents allowed in the clinic for parent trainings. In the 1.5 years we were there, the therapist on average changed every 10 weeks for my son and this was not just unique to him. Other children’s parents who I have spoken with reported similar changes with their child’s therapists. The only time parents were allowed in was for the initial open house and for new families during evaluations. What are they hiding? Other clinics have more transparency than this. In this new center, all the owners cared about was bringing in more kids, billable hours, and having a warm body to be the child’s 1:1 technician. My son often had the center cancel last minute (an hour or so before session) because of staffing issues. The center once had numerous floaters to cover staff absences, but to keep expenses down they only now have one floater. As their BCBA told me, the new policy is that “If the therapist is not with a child, they won’t be in the center so unfortunately there will be no coverage in the event of an absence.” The biggest issue was recently when my sons therapist was being changed to another child. I was told that his new therapist would be someone who had no special needs experience and would only get three days training. Can you imagine leaving your child with someone who only had three days to be with your child for multiple hours per day? Oh and did I mention my son had epilepsy. The BCBA also told me that much of their experienced clinicians have left to another clinic the owners opened. Essentially, the owners left their brick and mortar clients to help grow their newest center. All this center cares about is billable hours. Not your child. Please avoid and go to ANY other center. They will be loved and cared for more than this center and not just be given importance based on how many hours they are there for.
