I’ve worked in centers for years now, never come across such unprofessionalism from a company until By Your Side. Taking care of children starts with taking care of employees, and I was friends with multiple By Your Side employees— trust me, this is not the center you want your at-risk child to be at. Management is a mess, they treat disabled employees terribly, have no retention of staff, and wonder why they’re hiring someone new every week. Your child deserves a center founded in love and care— for the program, for the children they serve, and for the employees who are dedicated to your kids. By Your Side ISN'T it. Until Daisy, Melissa, and Taylor are out of managerial roles, I highly recommend finding anywhere else for your children (or to work, at that).
Our experience with By Your Side Autism Therapy in Colorado Springs has been nothing short of phenomenal. Over the past 12 months, my three-year-old daughter has made remarkable progress. Her tantrums have significantly decreased, her speech has improved, and her ability to interact with others has grown exponentially. She genuinely loves going to ABA sessions, which speaks volumes about the caring and engaging environment the team has created. As a mother, I want nothing more than for my child to feel accepted and loved in this world. Some days have been tearful, filled with frustration from not knowing how to help her. Cheyanne and all of the RBTs who have provided support for my daughter have been incredibly receptive to these moments, providing me with the encouragement and comfort I needed when things felt heavy. By Your Side has been a guiding light, helping me learn to navigate my daughter's uniqueness with understanding and positivity. The entire staff is incredibly accommodating, professional, and a joy to work with. The parent meetings have been invaluable, equipping me with the tools and insight to support my daughter in meaningful ways at home. I’m so grateful for the thoughtful, tailored approach By Your Side takes with both children and parents. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking compassionate and impactful autism therapy!
My kiddo was at By your side for almost year. Our autistic and nonverbal son would come home with random bruises ( inner thighs, legs, etc) When I would address these concerns, I would receive responses such as “ your child is clumsy or his shoes are to big” toddler shoes don’t come in half sizes and the size below was to small. So we did the best we could. We continued to address concerns regarding how our child was being cared for and continued to be told that it was our child’s fault. That was just the beginning of the issues the continued to occur. I spoke with his BCBA Cheyenne who assured and volunteered to make an incident report when these things would occur, but she did not follow through, the director even became involved ( Adam) was also rude and continued to blame our child. I received a call towards the beginning of the year that my kiddo had split his lip open due to colliding with a friend. We later took our child to the dentist and found out that due to the collision our child suffered a massive dental injury which resulted in his tooth needing to be pulled. After all this occurred we were told they were short staffed so we kept our child home for certain days until they could find coverage, come to find out that was used against us and our child was later discharged due to there own staffing issues. I would not recommend this facility due to the lack of accountability from several staff members, the mistreatment of our child, and not being clear in there communication.
Our son has been with By your side for a year now. Within months problems that have been ongoing for years we're resolved. The staff is so kind and friendly and we just love them all. The consistent staff are like family and they treat the kids with such dignity and respect and love. You'll hear mixed reviews about ABA therapy out there but By Your Side uses proven RTI intervention and train their staff well to take care of your kiddo while helping them accomplish the goals in their care plan. We've been well cared for here and love being a part of By Your Side. We will be sad when he is finished but I'm very grateful for all of the skills and help they have given to my little guy to get him on track to be able to go back into school and community. He is like a different kid. He has grown tremendously and is becoming very independent and responsible, which I've never seen in years prior. I cannot say enough how much we recommend by your side. It's tough deciding where your child should go and hoping you can trust the people who are working with your child to treat them properly and love and respect them properly, especially with non verbal/ limited verbal kids. By your side staff cares a lot, works hard to get our kids on track, and shows love and kindness as they help teach our kiddos. I'm very glad we were recommended them and they were the right choice for our family.
We just moved from Louisiana to Colorado Springs and our experience with BYS has been LIFE CHANGING. Kristina and Jorie in particular have been such joys to work with. Jorie is so gentle and understanding with my son, I would recommend this place a million times. Brittany has also been awesome and so patient. Everyone greets you with a smile and kind words when you arrive. Everyone seems truly happy to be working at this facility. We love it.
