Took 5 years on a waiting list, spent 10 minutes with my son listed every indication for autism yet denied it. Counselors at my son's school were shocked. Absolutely ridiculous.
This is Oakleys mom- hey all our friends from the clinic. Thank you Kat, Susan, April. You 3 were the ones who impacted me the most. Susan was my favorite with Oakley, she was more supportive, loving, and a friend to him than our own flesh and blood family. Love you Susan! Kat- thank you, you know what all for. When he started there he was severe ASD at 3. Would hit me, kick me, pull my hair and screamed alot. Hes now mild/moderate at 7. And so very sweet to me, with alot of care throughout the years. Of course, life isn't perfect; but much more manageable and at least we arent nonverbal anymore. My advice to parents is give this company a chance, talk to your manager if you have a concern, and communicate like family; because they technically are with the amount of time they spend with your child.
My daughter has been going for somewhere around a month now and we've seen a complete jump in her willingness to mimic and say more words. We had previously tried other aba centers and had no luck. But my daughter really seems to enjoy her time while she's at the clinic and has fun with Ms Abbie and has actually I feel like bonded with her; my daughter still likes to be walked to the door but then follows ms Abbie in and they're on top of it from what I've heard and seen especially when it comes to meltdowns with my daughter. Can't wait to see how much more she improves especially once she starts speech at the center.
My son has been going for 2+ years, 40 hours a week & has made SO much progress. He graduated today. The staff at BCPS has been nothing but loving, supportive & the most selfless people I have ever met throughout this journey. I trust them with my whole life 😫 I could never thank them enough!
If I could give no stars, I would. We had 2 of the best BCBA's ever, but dynamics changed in the company and BCPS turned into a discriminatory, hostile place for us to deal with. We have since moved on, but my daughter has more than one disability and they didn't care. Took every moment they could to single her out. Shameful! Our last BCBA left near the time we ended our partnership with company, and discrimination towards my daughter fueled that decision. There are so many new places out there now! This one isn't fair.
The staff are amazing. Kyndra the head BCBA is phenomenal, all his therapists are. Choosing to place my only child in the hands of people 40hrs a week in a clinical setting was terrifying. I absolutely love them all. They love my son, have an open line of communication and listen to your concerns as a parent regarding your child’s specific needs. I know he’s safe, well taken care of and respected when he’s there. ABA can be scary but if you educate yourself and do your research you will find that not all ABA clinics are created equally and I’m grateful for the time they have invested into my child specifically pertaining to the amount of progress he’s made/making.
This is an extremely dissatisfying company! Please don’t bring your children here!
