Finding a more suitable place for your child is essential. I initiated this process at the end of July, and two weeks after submitting the required documents, I reached out for an update. Sara informed me that the insurance process could take several weeks. A month later, I followed up again, and during that conversation, something felt amiss. Sara mentioned she needed to consult her supervisor and would get back to me. When I inquired about the status of the insurance, she assured me it was in good standing. However, a few hours later, I received a text stating that my child's information had been submitted to insurance and that it could take up to two weeks for a response. There was no phone call to explain or apologize for the lack of communication. When I called the office to express my concerns, Sara, who seems to be the only receptionist, showed no sympathy. I reluctantly decided to wait for the insurance process to unfold. A week later, I checked in again, and once more, Sara promised to follow up. The next day, I received another text confirming that the insurance had been approved, but it could take up to two weeks to hear from a provider. As of September 29, two months after I began this process, I still have not received any updates from Sara. It is perplexing how this establishment has received positive reviews, especially since I was referred here by the pediatric office where I work. I am relieved to report that we will no longer be referring patients to this unprofessional and frustrating facility.
My experience has not been so great. I was trying to stay with the company and give them chance after chance but things did not work out so well. I have had 4 therapists and 3 lead RBT. The first one talked to my son like he was slow (I'm sure she use to working with kids who do not talk at all), the second fell asleep on my couch, the third quit after she got the lead RBT to sign her papers. The fourth one has been pretty good for the most part. My son started to get frustrated with the new people. He started to stomp around and being as though I live on the third floor. I got one complaint from my neighbor and the leasing office threatened to put us out (never had any other problems out of him btw). For a while, his sessions were moved to two separate libraries and condensed to one. (Yes, I understand it's in home therapy). In the library, it's pretty quiet, empty and it's been working on his social skills. This week he started school so we would not be able to keep the same time slot or therapist. Blue Gems have called and said this will not be a good fit because we cannot be in the home. I cannot believe it ended like this. I have been more than accommodating. I even adjusted my schedule and times I allowed because it was becoming hard to replace the therapist. We have been in the library for a long time now, not sure why they are just saying something and ended abruptly. I was also told that other therapists have had their sessions in the library. Thank you.
Blue Gems is a great company! Wilson is my son’s ABA therapist, and he is amazing! My son has made so much progress. Wilson is an excellent employee and an asset to Blue Gems. The best ABA therapist that we’ve ever had! Highly recommend Wilson and our BCBA Jen!

Blue Gems ABA has given me and my family hope. Everything about my child was difficult to navigate. At Blue Gems ABA we found professional and dedicated staff that have turned into family. Their genuine care for my son and expertise has brought him a long way in the very short time he has been doing ABA therapy. I am beyond proud and happy of the progress he has made and look forward to all the growth that's yet to come. I am beyond thankful for Blue Gems ABA and their staff.
Receiving services with Blue Gems has been great! My child’s assigned RBT and BCBA are both extremely positive, helpful, kind, and supportive. In just a few short months my child has progressed and grown so much with their help.
From the Heart: A Grateful Parent’s Review of Blue Gems ABA Autism is nothing new, but it's definitely on the rise. Before having a child with autism, I often heard the phrase, "It takes a village to raise a child." I never truly understood it—until I had my youngest daughter. Now, I know firsthand just how true that is. Parenting a child with autism takes an extraordinary level of patience, repetition, love—and yes, a supportive village. That’s exactly what we found with Blue Gems. When we first started with them, we were scared. We didn’t know what to expect—how our daughter would respond, or who would be coming into our home. But we took the leap, desperate for help and support. Our first ABA therapist was kind, but not the right fit for our daughter. When we brought up our concerns, Blue Gems acted immediately, with care and understanding. Then came Miss Joanne. To this day, I cannot believe how lucky we are to have her. She is not just a good fit—she is extraordinary. She has become a beacon of hope and progress in our daughter’s life and in ours. Since beginning this journey with Blue Gems, we’ve seen incredible progress. When we started, our daughter wasn’t saying a single word (2023). Now her vocabulary has grown into the hundreds. Hearing her express herself, ask for things, and even say “I love you”—those are moments we’ll never take for granted. And they would not have happened without the consistent, personalized support from Blue Gems and Miss Joanne. Having someone like Miss Joanne— also quickly taught us that ABA is only part of the equation. It’s just as important for parents to be involved—to watch, learn, and carry those same strategies into the rest of the day when the therapist isn’t around. It takes a lot of patience, consistency, and effort from the whole family. It’s not easy—but it’s worth it. If you are looking for ABA services for your child, I wholeheartedly recommend Blue Gems. They’ve given our daughter tools to communicate, grow, and thrive—and they’ve empowered us as parents to help her every step of the way.

My 9 year son has been getting therapy for a few months now and I have seen a tremendous positive change in his behaviors. His therapist is Hauja and she is amazing. I would highly recommend this company and if I can give them 10 stars would! I am very thankful for the success my child has received from Blue Gems thus far. Such a great company that cares and genuinely chooses someone experienced/compatible with your child to help them grow.
