Both of my children have been diagnosed with ADHD. When my daughter was diagnosed at age 35, I realized I also have the same traits and it helped me to understand why I have struggled my entire life. I went to this clinic to get answers about this and found the entire experience quite disturbing. The 4+ hours consisted of written tests and only a ½ hour interview. The interview was just a repeat of several of the questions on the written tests. When I would try to explain or express concerns the clinician would cut me off and say she did not want to hear about that. I felt completely unseen and unheard in this interaction. Her conclusion was that all of the traits I attribute to ADHD according to my extensive research, she attributed to mental decline. When I asked about why she told me because, of one answer. On the written test I was asked when did these traits start? I did not say childhood. I said in my twenties or thirties since this is when I started to recognize them. Because of this all the ADHD traits she then attributed to cognitive decline. Relying solely on written tests or self-report questionnaires for mental health diagnosis is generally considered poor clinical practice because these tools are designed to screen for symptoms, not provide definitive diagnoses. While helpful as a starting point, they lack the context, nuance, and interpersonal observation required to accurately diagnose conditions. I would not suggest seeking a comprehensive diagnosis here.

I am extremely disappointed in the process at this place. I took my son there for a cognitive/learning disability test because he is far behind in school. While the day of the test went well-he felt comfortable with the tester, he did his best, and they accommodated his need for breaks, the rest of the process was horrible. They told me they would get results in to me within 7-10 days. It took them 32 days to get back to me, with only a few attempts within those days to actually call me. I called the office and the specific testing employee over 30 times trying to get results. It turns out my son has a significant issue, and it took them over a month to tell me so I can start getting him help. Although I understand that we are all busy, the lack of even TRYING to get me the results was astonishing, given the news they had to deliver. I liken this to waiting a month to tell someone they have metastatic cancer. This company should be ashamed.

This is the second time I have been referred for testing. They were professional and thorough. I have confidence in the results I received from the provider who performed my testing both times. I highly recommend Brain and Body Integration.
