Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
My son has had many therapists, but Hannah Duncan at Carolina Therapeutics has been the best. She is so in-tune with his need and he makes amazing progress every week. She is considerate of all his special needs and careful to keep everything clean since he is immunocompromised. We’re lucky to have her and look forward to working with this group more.
Wrongly discharged from company. This is a place why there is no grace or understanding with families that has children with special needs. There is a policy form that I signed that’s states clearly 3 CANCELLATIONS may result in discharge. We canceled twice because of unexpected circumstances and for that we were discharged of ALL services. SIDE NOTE: ( I have receipts of text messages between me and Therapist for proof). Never did I receive a text from the therapist offering a reschedule to keep us from being discharged because I would have gladly expected that offer but it was never given to us. To the families that are looking for therapy services (hippo-therapy) or any services keep this in mind.
We’ve had an absolutely wonderful experience with Carolina Therapeutics! The speech therapist and OT that work with my child are so patient and caring. They listen to my concerns and makes me feel heard. They both seem to have a special connection with my son. I don’t normally write reviews but I’ve felt so grateful for them recently that I felt the calling to. Couldn’t recommend them enough!!
We’ve had a fantastic experience with Carolina Therapeutics. The therapists are kind, attentive, and truly understand how to connect with children. Our child has made noticeable improvements in a short time. It’s clear they care deeply about the kids and their success.
. My children was on the waitlist and once they called and did my kids evaluation. They said they would reach out to me once medicaid approved them for services. Unfortunately my phone had broken over the 4th of July weekend so I was out of a phone for a moment. So later on in the month I get an email to sign documents so I was like okay they must of got approved this just the rules and regulations or whatever but come to find out it was a termination notice because they didn’t come to they appointment but not once was I aware of when they would start let along the time. I know what we discussed about what days but that was it.. so it pissed me off so badly because they said my children spots were filled now and they would be back on the waitlist but why would someone put children’s on a schedule if they haven’t even spoke with the parent after they evaluation was done then for them to say they were a no call no show so they sent me a termination letter when they haven’t even started. It’s crazy to me and I don’t think it’s right at all yea I may of sign a doc but it still shouldn’t of been a termination of my children services when they haven’t even started.
I cant say enough positive things about one of the therapists I/we were introduced to at Carolina Therapeutics, Miss Carol Le Baron. We started working with her late Summer of 2024, about a year into my Dad's Dementia diagnosis. And not only were the sessions great for him, but they were great for me. She helped guide Us in different ways to communicate with each other so that I could make life at home easier. While also trying to hold onto those memories and life skills for as long as possible. My Dad has severe Apashia so words/communicating sometimes just gets hard. And the last thing I want is for him to shut down and give up. Miss Carol taught us the tools to try to pull out the answers to keep the convos going. She has been a blessing to us.
I’m very disappointed with the way this center handled my case. Before starting treatment, they verified my insurance and confirmed that I was covered. However, after months of receiving services, I was suddenly informed that the treatments were not covered and that I now owe the full amount. I do not agree with how this situation was managed. My insurance does cover the services, and this center is listed as in-network. However, it seems that receiving treatment at the educational facility or from the specific provider made it not covered — which was never clearly explained to me. The process has been confusing and frustrating. I would not recommend this place due to the lack of transparency and poor communication.
I do not recommend Carolina Therapeutics. The entire process was disorganized and frustrating. Despite our Early Interventionist promptly providing all necessary paperwork, setting up therapy was extremely slow. While the therapy itself was fine, our therapist, Jackie, was consistently late and occasionally canceled with little to no notice. We put up with the inefficiency for our child’s sake, but the real issue came when his appointments were abruptly canceled, and he was placed back on the waitlist because our therapist decided to only service Asheville. We were told he’d be transferred to another therapist, but that was not true. Instead, we were given the option to wait months for new therapists, with no guarantee they’d accept him. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but after learning this just happened to another family, I felt it was important to share. Carolina Therapeutics’ lack of organization and reliability makes them difficult to trust.
