The therapy and therapists here are knowledgeable and great with our 8 year old who has autism.

This center WAS amazing when my son started services here in 2023. A lot of the providers had been with their clients for a long time. I have no idea what happened… but all of a sudden this place is horrible. THE PROVIDERS ARE STILL GREAT. But Cortica as a company can’t keep the providers because of all the new policies they’re adding. The turn-over is TERRIBLE. Self-pay for speech & OT went from $95 to $200. That’s a 110% increase for a single 30-45 minute appointment. Who can afford that, especially when your child needs multiple sessions a week?? They will cancel your appointment if you’re even 30 seconds over the grace period time, but I have waited almost an hour for a provider to show up. Most of the time they don’t tell you the provider will be late until you get there. They changed to block scheduling (which completely messed with families’ and providers’ schedules, and caused many families to have to leave Cortica) to ensure there’s always coverage in cases where the BI is late or calls out, but I haven’t seen any changes to coverage. I was just looking at my bill, I got charged a $50 cancellation fee (understandable); then I see another $50 cancellation fee for the same day for the provider covering the normal provider’s lunch.. what?? It is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of anyone. You call, leave a message, wait for someone to call you back, they can’t help you so they transfer you, you end up having to leave another message and wait for a call back. The front desk receptionist is very rude and a liar. She is such a stickler about the rules when it comes to clients, but then parks her car in the Cortica Client Only parking. I got there one day 6 minutes after our appointment start time. The grace period is 10 minutes. She let us sit there for 15-20 minutes before telling us that she cancelled our appointment because we were 11 minutes late (which we weren’t). Now I feel like I have to take a picture every time I get there so that she can’t lie about our arrival time again. I could go on and on, but this is lengthy already lol. 2 years ago I would’ve recommended this place to EVERYONE who asked. Now, I would stay far away from this place and wouldn’t recommend to it to anyone at all.

I am very happy with this medical Center, my son has been a part of cortica since 2021 and it has impacted my sons life in a good way. I've seen so much growth in him.

My son has been receiving services for about a month now and I already notice some progress all the staff is super friendly and attentive.!

Heads up - they are currently bribing good reviews with teddy bears, so grain of salt all 5-star reviews. Zero stars for Cortica the company, 5 stars for ABA providers directly. Here's an honest review: almost all of the actual Behavioral therapists who have been with our child in home and at clinic have been fabulous, almost everything else is a mess and they care about no one. Ways they don't care: 1. Military families - they do not take Tricare 2. Poor families - they do not take Medi-Cal/medicaid 3. Canceling on you - if they can't come some days, too bad, so sad, no compensation, but if YOU cancel - hefty fees 4. Cancellation fees if you cancel - start at THREE DAYS ahead $50 (and go up if within 4 hours) 5. Terrible supervisors - either they are overworked or just don't care, one billed for education time that didn't happen, one just completely ghosts regularly (haven't seen him in months), one claimed I was not willing to collaborate when they came to my house only one time unannounced and I was not there, then met once when did tell me they were coming 6. Care about their time - but not yours, if you are a working parent with a child needing these services, they will expect you are a stay-at-home parent available when they are, but not give you the common courtesy of a heads up when they attend to arrive - absolutely zero planning by ABA supervisory roles from what I can tell 7. OT - you can say, please don't just do obstacle courses and focus on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and they will completely ignore that request 8. Speech - even though we absolutely love ours, she messed up in a major way by missing an email that caused the AAC device to be kicked into the next year, which for insurance reasons was devastating, but the AAC company themselves fixed that for us Most likely, everyone is just working really hard, for little pay, and are mostly younger staff. That said, Cortica the company is what makes this awful. Their policies, their guidance, their fees. If it weren't for long waiting lists at closer ABA services, we'd have left already. No way am I going to be there January 1st when we'd have to restart our deductible clock. Couldn't stomach out of pocket fees at these crazy rates with this service and not accepting Medi-Cal as secondary insurance.

We are very fortunate to have found amazing speech therapist here at Cortica. I have seen great progress in my sons speech and he continues to thrive. Highly recommend Cortica for any speech needs.

I love Cortica because the staff is so nice -from my son who is a patient there We love our ABA coordinator Georgia and thanks to Julie, his OT therapist, my son is now proficient at tying his shoes. It only took 1 visit to master tying shoes
