There was bad and good times. If I had so say one thing about my time at Ecker Center they are overly sensitive and lack the ability to truly care for their caseloads. After the CEO Karen Beyer the level of care and level of help diminished greatly but didn't go away entirely. Ecker Center helped me with my health problems which I am grateful but completely lacked in mental health. Sarah at the Ecker Center Group Home should be CEO then Ecker Center would be filled with compassion and honesty. Shout outs to Laura Jessica and Alexia from case management cst. They took responsibility when they messed up and found a way to fix the issue. More staff needs to be hired like them. Ecker Center you can call and tell me to take it down but everything here is the truth unfiltered that I won't be silenced. Never use Ecker Center crisis line they will complain if you bad mouth Ecker Center. I encourage all clients to pull away from Ecker Center and stop having them control your life through your finances. Dr. Ali Anwar has an amazing office with psychiatrist and therapist. The Phoenix Foundation in Elgin Illinois what was Larkin Center helps. There are places around Elgin Illinois that can help you get help outside of Ecker Center. The library can help you as they helped me. Ecker Center won't bully me to shut this down like they did earlier. This is the absolute truth about Ecker Center For Mental Health. Ecker Center made me lose faith in all organizations like Ecker Center. I only hope other clients start a rebellion and say no to negligent care and yes to be treated like a human and not a statistic. Ecker Center when they kick you out they won't pay their responsibility and will put you in financial jeopardy and housing jeopardy. Don't trust them if they are your payee or help you manage your money. May Ecker learn what it means to be decent humans and compassionate Below is what Ecker Center is trying to criminally not pay though they are liable
Had a great experience here. Staff is very friendly and they truly care about your health
Being hopeful, heard a lot... From many and within... Physical health etc... the many lies, make so much up. We have a voice! But you can't!! Seen many good people.... The despair, trying to improve... Why??? Just for saying what's going on here, taken advantage of, false promises, came back here in good faith like many.. put forth so much to rebuild etc... new health conditions, put down for a certain one..
I wish I could say good things about this place but I can't. I wish I could say they helped me but I can't. I wish I could say they helped my daughter but I can't. I wish I could say they communicate effectively but I can't.
I stayed in Crisis Residential for a month (I got an extended week) and I learned so much and had SUCH a great time, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a timeout. Lots and lots of groups, very well structured, the rules are really easy to understand and follow, and the staff genuinely cares about how you're feeling during your stay as well. You get to see your psychiatrist once a week to make sure your medication is helping, and the psychiatrists they have on staff are wonderful, as well as your therapist and if you're in the substance abuse program, they're kind too, from what I've heard. Once again, thank you Ecker, for helping me learn to manage my anxiety and various other symptoms. You've done a great job for a lot of people! 10/5 stars!
I very much like my provider here. She is incredible. I'm finally stable and able to live a somewhat normal life. When I'm in crisis, she gets me in right away. I think the therapy department could be better; I did not have a good experience there and am in therapy elsewhere. The wait was awful however, as it took about 6 months to see a provider - about 8 months to see a therapist. The on site specialty pharmacy is a plus for me as well as it makes it easier to manage my psych meds in one place. I'm not a fan of the billing process or front desk area; as it seems a bit unorganized. Overall, it may not be the newest, latest and greatest facility, but for what it's worth, I've received some of the best care here. Having a provider that actually listens really matters and has helped me immensely.
