After finding out our insurance was out of network I was told 3 days in a row that I would receive an email with alternative resources and received nothing. I was even willing to take out an additional policy to try this place for my daughter and embark admissions made no effort to even follow up after learning we were out of network. Even a “sorry I don’t have any information” is better than empty promises when a child in in crisis.
We are incredibly grateful for the care our son, received during his four-month stay at Embark Behavioral Health. After a long and difficult journey—including time in and out of detention centers—we were desperate to find a treatment center that could truly help him, and more importantly, keep him there. Embark was the answer we had been searching for. From day one, the staff was supportive, professional, and deeply compassionate. his therapist, Stephanie, was a phenomenal guide through this process. Her deep knowledge and unshakable patience helped Brady learn to manage his anger and regulate his behavior in ways we never thought possible. The life coaches, especially Tony and Anthony, played a huge role in his growth. Their ability to connect with Brady and help him build real-life tools to manage his emotions and actions was a game-changer for him. We also want to express our gratitude to Dr. Booke, the psychiatrist, who was incredibly responsive and thorough in finding the right medication to help stabilize my son's mood and elevated anger. We always felt heard, informed, and supported every step of the way. The entire team at Embark truly cares and works together to help kids like our son heal and grow. We finally feel hopeful for his future, and it’s all thanks to the incredible team at Embark.
We had a wonderful experience with Embark. It was a big decision to send my 13 year old daughter from NY to Oregon. Having spent nearly three months there, I never had to feel concerned for her safety or well-being. The staff at this facility is truly caring and professional, they kept us in the loop every step of the way. It was the first time that my daughter was receptive to therapy and gained valuable DBT skills while she was there. From phone calls, to visiting, and attending workshops, the staff was always unbelievably welcoming, knowledgeable and patient. Thank you to Alyssa, Molly, Stephanie, Maryanne and Jack and everyone else there who made my daughter feel comfortable and safe.
I cannot recommend Embark in Greeley highly enough. When our child needed support with mental and behavioral health, Embark delivered far beyond our expectations. The transformation in our kiddo has been nothing short of incredible—and the impact on our entire family has been just as profound. Before Embark, our family was struggling. Now, we function with a level of harmony we hadn’t thought possible. They didn’t just support our child—they supported us, too. They helped us understand how to parent more effectively and compassionately, tailored specifically to our child’s needs. It truly felt like they wrapped their arms around our entire family. The time apart—while incredibly difficult—was more than worth it. Since our child came home in early February, life has been amazing. Is everything perfect? No. But it’s a million times better than before. Now, when challenges arise, we talk through them calmly and move forward together. I could go on and on about what Embark has done for our family, but what matters most is this: Finding quality help matters—and this is it. Healing involves the whole family, not just the child. Be open. Be willing to change. Embrace a new way of living. Your child’s willingness is important, too. It takes time. It takes involvement. It is OK to need help. There is no shame in seeking mental health support. Change can be good. Focus on progress, not perfection. If you’re reading this, my heart is with you. I know how scary and isolating it can feel to be in this position—but please know, you are not alone. Give Embark a chance. Their team is truly special. Every single staff member brings care, commitment, and heart. They will give your family everything they’ve got.
My grandson went through the Embark program. At first he struggled a lot but then he started working the program and he excelled. The staff worked well with him and with our family. They were caring and understanding yet firm when things were hard for us. The explained everything and got his meds at a good place. We couldn't be happier. The other kids were usually happy when we seen them which was a good sign for me. Several of them spoke when my grandson finished the program and said very nice and encouraging things to him. He was very close to a few of them which I think also speaks highly of Embark. I would highly recommend them. And it definitely beats other behavior treatment facilities or the mental health hospital.
Embark was the first place I felt genuine change in my life As a teen, I felt Supportive Like no other
Our family was in crisis and our son was in a constant state of despair. We researched Embark, worked with insurance, and were able to get our son admitted to the facility in Greeley. The staff here are amazing at what they do for adolescents. At the moment we arrived we felt a completely different sense that this place and its caring staff were going to be the change we all needed. The staff are skilled at their jobs and more importantly know how to truly make a difference for adolescents. Our son is home now and I finally have a greater sense of hope for our son! It is going to be life changing. The staff knew how to reach our son who was previously unreachable. We are so grateful!
Our daughter thrived at Embark . She was given the tools and structure to learn coping skills. Esther was very helpful and put my mind at ease. Brooke took the time to listen to all of our concerns and find the correct path forward with adjusting medications. Gigi always kept me posted on any health concerns that I had. Brianna was great at encouraging our daughter to learn about herself and different coping strategies Brianna helped me realize what I needed to change to have a better relationship with my daughter Chris was amazing with all the kids and was involved with all day to day activities. Ryan the academic coordinator was positive and always made sure she was doing well in school. Amy taught her how to be assertive and Moe taught her how to love herself. We are so grateful to have had this life changing experience. Thank you for everything.
We are so grateful to the Embark team for helping our daughter. The staff was amazing and made her feel comfortable. Embark changed her life. I highly recommend Embark if your son or daughter is struggling with mental health.
My 10 year old daughter, now 11, spent 5 months at Embark Bend, OR and it was both the hardest and best choice I've ever made for her (and the family). Nothing we had tried until then had made any difference and home life was incredibly stressful for all family members. They answered all my questions, kept me updated, responded quickly to any questions or concerns and gave my daughter the 24/7 support and guidance she needed. By staying in the residential program, she gained experience practicing learned coping skills when interacting with the other children (and adult counselors) at all hours of the day, while being supervised and supported. Along with going on various outings, she participated in equine therapy and took her turn caring for the bunnies. She received individual, group, and family therapy. After reaching her goals, we received support on how to transition her back home, what to expect, and how to engage with her during disregulated times. Our expectations were realistic, knowing that disregulation will still occur at times. Which it has. But I see her actively practicing her coping skills and outbursts are shorter, less frequent, and less intense. She is able to have a normal conversation now instead of shutting down any attempt to discuss her behaviors or emotions. Is it perfect? No. Is it improvement and are we so incredibly proud of her? YES! We now have her in an Embark's stepdown PHP program where she gets to come home every day! I am so thankful for Embark and there are just no words to express the relief and gratitude I feel.
