Fairfax Pediatric Therapy

Had a great experience with occupational therapy for my son, who was having too many accidents at school at almost 4 years old. Yulene's play-based session did not only address the potty training aspect - she identified underlying issues that resulted from his prematurity and worked with him for 4 months to helped rectify them. My son loved the sessions and never wanted to leave. I also appreciated the ease of rescheduling sessions when needed, and easy communication with Ariel about any questions regarding billing etc. Would highly recommend!

Our son was referred here to help manage some sensory seeking behaviors. The clinic was always clean and quiet. Ariel is quick to respond to emails and texts, and our OT Yulene gave us great practical tips for how to help our son at home. I am happy to say he has now "graduated" after less than a year, and we've noticed a big change from when he began in better being able to regulate and communicate with us. Highly recommend!

Thankful to have found Fairfax Pediatric Therapy! Ariel is very personable and made scheduling easy, getting my daughter in right away. Chunhee was wonderful every single session, helping her with emotional regulation, attention span, and social skills, and giving us strategies to use at home. I’ve seen such a positive change and am so grateful for the care, patience, and encouragement she’s given us.

We have a wonderful experience working with Ariel and Chunhee for our son's OT! We have seen so much improvement in our son's interaction with others after OT sessions with Chunhee. When we had a visit with the preschool teachers, our son was able to sit still and worked on his drawing. He then asked the teacher for a piece of paper when he ran out of paper. On other occasions at the playground, while our son was climbing down the stairs of the slide, another child was going up; there was no room for both children to go together. Our son followed our instructions to step back so the other child can get up to the platform. We're very happy that our son can follow guidelines and interact cordially with others while continue his curiosity to explore and develop.

My son has been attending speech therapy sessions at Fairfax Pediatric Therapy since early January. He is almost 9 and has always struggled with his "s," "sh," and "ch" sounds - but we waited to see if he would grow out of it (he didn't). On recommendation of our dentist, we tried some videos to help him with speech, but we were not successful on our own. After a Zoom call with Ariel and Ahmad, the speech therapist, we felt very confident and comfortable with Fairfax Pediatric Therapy. After the first session, my son made huge strides in his "sh" sounds - he was actually able to articulate it correctly, even if it was a struggle. Long story short, as of today (3 months after starting) Finn has met all of his speech goals and no longer needs the services. Both Ahmad and Finn worked hard to make this happen - and in such a short time. I didn't expect progress so fast, to be honest. Not only that - my kiddo actually looked forward to the sessions. Ahmad took the time to get to know his interests - chess and strategy games - and built the sessions around play. When we left today, for the last time, Finn said he was going to miss his friend. We have had the best experience! Thank you.
