I want to clarify, this score is meant for the owner. My son’s therapist and team were amazing and I am so grateful to them and all their hard work, passion and dedication. It was very upsetting to hear the owner has made the decision to end our services, with no care, thought or consideration to my son and our family. We were advised, the company was no longer working with our insurance but they will accept Cal Optima, which my son also has. I spoke with someone from the office who said we can use Cal Optima as primary- done! Then weeks later said I have to cancel my other insurance altogether. I called my insurance to cancel and because of the holidays, it took a while and that is when I received the call that basically it was too late. I was upset stating, I cancelled my insurance per your request and now you’re telling me you’re ending services? He said he would talk to the owner to call me back. Never happened. Not sure how they think it is okay to treat families like this. They put me in a very difficult situation, now I have to find a new company and figure out the insurance situation, meanwhile my son is without services. Programs like this are meant to help children and families, who jump through hoops as it is to ensure their children have the care they need. I’ve been on this journey for 14 years and I’m sure many will relate when I say, we’re not always met with compassion and understanding. But I def wouldn’t expect that from an ABA provider. So for the very rude and awful way we were discarded, this one star is for you and you only.

Highly recommended. I love how professional they are. My son has made great progress in less than a year. He really likes the place and their therapists.

Our son has been attending this facility since he was 18 months old, and he is now 42 months. We always prioritize ensuring his therapy sessions are consistent, and the entire team works hard to make sure he receives continuous and personalized care. Whenever something happens in his life or he develops a new interest, the team is aware of it by the very next day. On days when he isn’t feeling his best, they adapt to his needs with such understanding and compassion. Even after all this time, we continue to feel the warmth and care that makes this place truly special. Beyond the therapy provided to our child, the Parent Consulting sessions have been invaluable to me as a parent. These sessions have given me guidance and insight on how to best support and nurture my child, and I’ve learned so much from them. Since I’m not fluent in English, the team has been incredibly accommodating, always understanding my simple sentences and ensuring I feel heard. My Parent Consulting advisor even speaks my native language, which has been an enormous help. I have no doubt that my son will continue to grow, learn, and thrive in this environment. I’m so grateful for the dedication and care this team consistently provides.

This place is unprofessional, unfriendly, and untrustworthy. Regional Center should not send their clients here. Staff does not introduce themselves nor explain their assessments. They judge both, the client and child by asking questions that they should figure out on their own by actually conducting professional assessments. They don’t want to make an effort on the services that they’re supposed to provide. The staff will have the audacity to admit that it’s not necessary for them to interact with the child (speech and behavioral therapist don’t interact with child, only questions parent) Occupational therapist interacts with child, but not in a motivating manner. They just sit on their desk, look at each other’s face as if they’re not confident about the work they’re doing. Also, the assessment staff will ask odd questions combined with a judgmental look on their face. I’m very surprised at how parents leave their small children there.

Run fast away from footprints. The bad reviews are very real and very true. Appears to be all their locations so perhaps as a company they are horrid. The Michigan location leaves children nasty to the point that as parents we’ve had to complain. Sanitary concerns were abundant. Safety concerns were abundant. Complaints are/were abundant. Apparently the parents who go through the state have coordinators who are very aware of the sanitary, safety, complaint issues with this place. Zero stars if I could give it. Not a good place to bring your children.

If you need occupational therapy for children with Austism DO NOT go through Footprints here in Salem I have been waiting 3 MONTHS for a in home visit from them, but received only canceled appointments , been given every excuse in the book on why she couldn’t come out (some she even reused weeks later ) , then she finaly sent me a date and time (again) , I didn’t respond because She didn’t ask for confirmation I just figured okay appointment set. Appointment day she’s a no show. Told me well you didn’t confirm with me so since you didn’t respond within 24 hours I canceled your appointment…. RAGE. How hard is it to get help for an autistic child in this damn state . Disgusting attitude , unprofessional , horrible service .

All I wanted to know was whether this organization is taking new patients. The lady refused to answer this very simple question unless I gave her all my personal information including all my son's personal information. I didn't want to tell her this information just to be told they are closed to new patients or have a year long wait list like everyone else. Don't call these people, they do not care.
