J was my first child, meeting all of his milestones and developing normally… until he didn’t. J started ABA therapy just 4 days after his Level-3 ASD diagnosis, at age 2. He lost all language skills and became nonverbal between ages 18 months and 24 months. It happened fast. More than that, we discovered that he had an added “rule-governed behavior”, which is an ugly cousin to OCD. Thankfully, with the help and support from the administrators, we were able to get insurance to cover his therapy. And we charged forward. J remained in therapy for 40-hours a week for three years, with specialists that truly understood him. From age 2 to age 5, they taught J how how to talk, how to interact with people, make friends, display emotions, recognize shapes and colors, and eventually, how to read and write. In short, they taught him how to be a little boy. What’s more is they taught us how to understand our our son and they taught our other children how to understand their brother. I will forever be grateful for this team. They helped us become better parents and a better family. The only thing harder than getting an autism diagnosis was leaving ABA therapy so that J could start school. 🥹 **Edit His last 18-months or so were during COVID—and they accommodated with in-home therapy sessions. He never lost services throughout the pandemic. They are truly dedicated.

My son has been going here for almost a year now and he is thriving. When he started, he couldn’t make eye contact, play with toys functionally, no verbal skills, the list goes on. I love that I get updates throughout the day, and offered parent training to help better understand my child and his specific needs. Almost immediately I started seeing the growth in my son! The staff are always so sweet and every time I pick up/drop off, I notice the children are just so happy to be there! I don’t think there is a better ABA clinic! We love our Golden Steps Family!

My son has been attending Golden Steps for over a year now. Everyday he seems to Come home with something new he’s learned. They work very closely with my son along with every child that attends. Golden Steps has helped with his behavior, and speech tremendously. The entire staff is amazing, passionate, and care so much for every child. I couldn’t be happier with their services and the love and care they show to my child. I highly recommend this clinic!

My son has been here for a little while now and he has been thriving since day one . More patience , more communication , more joy since he’s started and as a parent that’s the true goal . The love and passion shown by the staff of Golden Steps made me feel 1000 times better about putting my child in ABA . Before you completely rule out ABA , take my word and make sure you visit here ! Everyday , weekends included my child wakes up asking to go to “school,” I hate to have to disappoint him on the weekends ! Lol ! But he always looks forward to going back . They have an open door policy and communicate with me throughout the day with pictures/messages updating me on my little one . Parent training is available to help me , help my child succeed at home . I couldn’t have found a better facility . It may be a little too soon to say but my son and I love these ladies . Thanks for all that y’all do , thanks for loving these kids the way you do , and thank you for putting this mom at ease . I know I made the right decision choosing Golden Steps and it’s reflective in my child . It radiates through him . Kaley , Kasey , Erin , Amanda and Derek y’all are the bees-knees !!

The absolute best decision that I’ve made so far for my daughter. I was a little skeptical at first (listening to others about how bad ABA therapy is) but I gave it a try. True enough ABA isn’t for every child, but as for my child, I wished I’d sent her here sooner. The commute isn’t bad, the cleanliness of the facility is immaculate and the staff is absolutely amazing. Every staff member here goes above and beyond not just for my child but for every child enrolled. These Rbts and BCBAs love what they do and it shows DAILY! With the help of each of them, my daughter is thriving. Not only does she loves it but I love it too. 10 out of 10 for sure!
