After several years of Occupational Therapy with other providers, our eldest Son was a Client of Mariah Runkle, Owner and Operator of STEP Therapy Pediatrics, some years ago. All I can say is WOW!! Our Son loved going there and working with Mariah! He got so much out of his OT with Mariah and it didn’t present as work to him. Our Son was excited to go, excited to explore whatever work Mariah had set up for him. He looked at his time with her as an adventure every single time we headed out the door for his appointment! Mariah also supported his innate ability to create and express himself. Our Son profusely creates, like other people Breathe, and Mariah always took joy from that and encouraged his dreams. Mariah always supported my husband and myself in our endeavors to make sure that Our Son had everything that we could provide to support him. Mariah gave us strategies and exercises to use at home with Our Son that felt like play. She helped us visualize and feel what was going on for Our Son, like a view into his own sensory perception of his world, by helping us truly comprehend his challenges. And I’m ecstatic to let you know that Our Eldest is in his Senior Year at University of Colorado at Denver in the Film and Television Program. We will Always be Grateful to Mariah for providing us with her truly skillful and inspiring services at STEP Therapy Pediatrics. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Is not nearly enough!! A Heartfelt Thank You!!! Sincerely, Laurie Carr

Sam, Amber, and Bri are such kind people. I don’t feel comfortable talking with people but after meeting them, I was immediately comfortable speaking to them. Sam is so sweet and supportive of me and helps me a lot. Amber wanted me to practice on prononciation with the correct sound. I met with Bri once, she wanted me to read a book out loud and told me how well I’ve been improving. They all helped and supported me along the way. Definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking to improve on their voice. Gratitude and happiness fill my heart.

We love STEP, my daughter looks forward to going every single time. When the snow was bad, they even offered to do a zoom appointment with her. The therapists are great, and so is the office staff. So glad we go here for our needs.

If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. Our son has gone here for several months for occupational therapy. Their therapists are great - special shout out to Kaitlyn and Jake. Our kid made some real, measurable progress. The people who run the office will also go to bat for you to get additional insurance coverage. Unfortunately, once the insurance runs out, their willingness and capacity to accommodate our family needs became limited. They really felt like they were on our side until insurance ran out. We paid out of pocket as long as we could maintaining our weekly schedule until we could not. We wanted to go to every-other-week schedule, but they wouldn't accommodate it. The peer reviewed research on OT for toddlers I found indicates regular, consistent services are paramount to success, so their unwillingness to accommodate working-class family needs and scheduling at random days and times (sometimes two weeks in a row, other times two-three weeks in between) is inefficient and a waste of our money. Sad to leave, and I'm even more sad that we felt abandoned by STEP once our insurance coverage dried up. I'd recommend them, but just know if your kid needs more than 10 or 12 sessions, just expect your experience to get worse once your insurance no longer covers the services.

The therapists here have been amazing! We started a year ago going to both physical and occupational therapy. Our 5 year old is doing so much better than before with her sensory processing disorder and tiptoe walking. She even loves wearing her afo braces. Everyone in the office is super friendly and is very supportive of our daughter. Our younger daughter is jealous and wishes that she could go to occupational and physical therapy! We highly recommend STEP Therapy Pediatrics!
