This place is not as nice as it appears and there are a lot of incompetent staff members. There is a lack of consistency, a lack of communication, and this place will try and break your will. If I could’ve given a negative review, I would. No one should be subject to this abomination. Some staff are cruel and seem to forget that the residents here have a multitude of trauma and problems. Do not send your kids here. Do not submit yourself here. This place will build on trauma.
I went to harbor point in 2021to 2022 and I spent a whole year there I was bullied really bad by my own roommate but overall the staff was pretty okay
I have been to a few residentials but this one did help somehow but if you know some one who does end up going know that all recreational staff are awesome Mr Micah,ms Leona,ms Emma, ms etc are great unit 4 is good they try there best when low staffed and those people are Mr Lamar Mr Alex and ms Fatima now rc staff can be good but the best person I have for example is ms Katrina now ms Katrina is awesome she’s a good listener with good feedback and she cares about the kids truly and some may even say(aka me) she’s given me a reason to live and I don’t get that close with females so I hope that says something.(other good staff are ms Madonna ms Krisma ms Kirk man MR AARON MR JAHYLEN and many more
My granddaughter was here around July 2025 and this place was horrible she was getting beat up every day she's was getting laughed at by staff and didn't have any good treatment
Miss Carey the greatest therapist there just try as hard as you can to not fight and get in trouble you’ll be straight
My daughter is there now and she tells me the same things everyone else is saying in these reviews, Absolute horrifying! My daughter has been assaulted by other kids multiple times and she's only been there a short while. They've moved her from unit to unit except for when she requested herself. She tells me the staff aren't respectful as well. My daughter has issues but respecting others is not one of them. I fear my daughter won't get the help she needs. As the senate article said, this place is just a warehouse. It sad that our children are being exploited for others to fatten their pockets. Shame on everyone involved, top to the bottom. I promise I will do everything possible to bring light to the darkness of this ungodly place.
Well I ran away from there but I’m not gunna say it was all bad you had some good staff and some bad .honestly, it’s not really treatment but no residential really is you turn into the people you hang around and also pick up bad traits from them all I’m saying is it’s not an ideal place for a child maybe an adult (Some of these damn kids act like it ) but anyways sending them to a hospital is gunna just magically solve there problems or change them you have to learn to step up as a guardian or parent or whatever to support help And change your kid not send them off to strangers who don’t know jack shit about them to😒 Always and forever shy😁
my name is Andrew Wiley and not gonna lie... this place is lowkey kinda buns, DO NOT send ANYONE here! I've been to his place (February 4th 2025 to November 5th 2025) and during my whole stay it has been nothing but CHAOS!! people were getting into fights daily and the staff members were lowkey joining in on them and beating the kids up. i asked for new glasses since i got there and they only decided to THINK ABOUT IT in July. (i also asked to get my hair braided and they took centuries) The place is dirty, they took our cleaning supplies and so we had to live in filth. they don't know how to spend their money wisely, they would rather give one unit 30+ outings a month but when it comes to fixing the air vents filled with dead racoons, fixing a destroyed classroom, making sure people had hygiene products to wash their bodies, HIRING GOOD STAFF, or making sure people were eating... Then the outings would always be on their #1 thing to do NO MATTER WHAT??? I'm gonna be completely honest, if i didn't have my best friend (aka my Twizzy KW), A CERTAIN BLONDE GIRL that i liked seeing, or music to keep me calm, i probably would've turned out to be a tweaker just like most of the people on my unit. Speaking of tweakers, i get that HPBHC is a mental health facility but this is still crazy to me how they would accept ANYONE no matter where they came from. ex #1: They accepted a kid who literally PUNCHED himself in the face repeatedly, causing him to bleed everywhere, and beat up another kid who was literally minding his own business... ALL ON HIS FIRST DAY???? ex #2: some kids were literally destroying the entire unit and tried to end their lives on the side patio, but instead of getting them professional help (that's to smart for HPBHC) they decided to GIVE THEM AND EXTRA HOUR IN THE TV ROOM??? like what? i could come up with better things to help these poor, poor children. they would stuff kids with sexual problems with each other in the same room, but they would also stuff themselves in the room with kids with sexual problems. there were 2 staff members that thought it was cool to have sexual relationships with MINORS IN A FACILITY. this place is one step away from getting shut down and i cannot wait for it to happen. TL;DR: this place is bad, don't send anyone here - AW
I have been to quite a few places, never a residential though, so when people started warning me about them I didn’t really believe it until I went here. I was admitted February 27 2025 and discharged November 29 2025 so I spent around nine months there. At first when I got there it didn’t seem too bad until a month or two in when I realized no one there had their crap together. The whole time I was there I was moved unit to unit and it was miserable. A lot of the staff there were so rude and definitely not qualified for the job. Nurses would give patients the wrong meds, or just sometimes refuse to give us our per as needed meds that we had a prescription for because they just didn’t want to. The building itself was absolutely disgusting at first and then they took away our cleaning supplies making it even nastier. There were bugs everywhere and the sink water smelled like eggs. The worst part was when I was in a not safe environment and I tried to tell them numerous times but they kept insisting that I was fine and never moved me when I really needed to be moved. I ended up getting over 300$ worth of things stolen due to a staff member not caring and literally giving a group of residents my stuff. I also ended up getting biologically assaulted and they acted surprised when the whole time I was crying daily because I knew something bad was going to happen. The other thing is, they lied a lot. I was on all three wings units and at one point I didn’t even really have a room and almost had to sleep on the floor in the hallway because they didn’t want to do anything about the situation. They also had told me I was leaving, which I did, but then I later found out they were trying to have me sent to another residential and didn’t even tell me. They also have definitely broken a record for most patient rights broken, they simply didn’t care. The whole place is awful and corporate itself cuts corners and does everything they possibly can to avoid actually doing the right thing just because their lazy. They also don’t have a female physical doctor so when I had to go to the doctor it was horrible due to past trauma with men. The male physical doctor also has no clue what he’s talking about and I swear on most things he probably isn’t licensed. I have so much more PTSD then what I came in with it’s not even funny. Although some staff do try their best to help, the other staff and overall environment just contradicts everything. If I ever had a kid, I would rather put my kid on fear factor than this place. And the thing that does it the most is they try to say they helped me but for over five months I just was there and didn’t care until I couldn’t take it anymore and fixed myself. If I had to stay there for any longer I would have developed chronic depression or something. Thanks to all the amazing staff there, but shame on all the horrible ones that made my life the worst it’s ever been. I genuinely hope this place gets sued for everything it’s got. I hate ya’ll. -Your least favorite resident BT.
No review can do this place justice. It’s business before anything else. If your looking for help I promise this is not the place I was for 6 months from April to October of 2024 and I left with more stuff to deal with than before i came in
