The parenting coach was very unprofessional. Moving stuff to find a plug in at my mothers home without asking. Hair matted. Vehicle tags from another state, She knew that it was a court order her client had to be supervised within sight and sound at all times allowed they to go into restroom with children alone then wanted supervisor to allow her to supervise. Made false statements about supervisor helper. Was arguing in front of my children. Had one session at a outing at her church which was 45 minutes away which was lead to believe was just a invitation to attend church event. She had her children and family there. Was not knowledgeable of special needs children. If all parenting coaching is obeservation it is over paid with no benefit. Waste time and money
The intact specialist , Hope, was friendly, however I dont think this program is flexible in meeting everyone’s needs. I am not at square one… which is evident with my behaviors. I wonder if they ever recommend anything less than entry level Mon- Thursday 9-12. I was in an inpatient program for 45 days and haven’t relapsed— it’s been 9 months ( granted I was in jail for5). It was all or none. Thank God this was voluntary. New company = $ ( full service). People who have been where you are can relate….
They are unreachable. Ive been going for 2 years and there has been multiple occasions where I have run out of medications and have been left to withdrawl only being able to get a voicemail over and over again. Someone in charge of answering phones and emails is getting payed a lot to do nothing. It has caused multiple mental health spirals with randomly being taken off my medicine. Your best bet is to go somewhere else. Update: 1 year later I've received a bill for over $1000 for this "care". how do you people sleep at night?
So, I am torn on my rating. The counceling side actually seems to have their priorities straight. I love my counselor. 5 stars for their psychology department. The psychiatry team however make me wish I had chosen a different place. I had my first appointment, all was well. Time to reschedule another appointment and you cannot get in contact with anyone. My medications have run out and I will now be experiencing withdrawal symptoms, which may include suicidal thoughts, all because I cannot get a hold of someone to schedule my appointment. I see nothing has changed there in the 3 years that people have been experiencing these same issues.
Our children are patients here. The staff can not keep appointment times straight, can not keep scheduled appointments and put clients who can not make it to there appointments ahead of the ones who can. When they do rarely keep scheduled appointments they spend more time on other issues instead of the ones the clients are there for. What can be diagnosed in a 15 minute appointment where they take no time to learn what the issues are? For a professional facility they do a poor job of showing it. Let's not get me started on there prescription refill policy. Schedule appointments every 90 days and only give 30 day refills. Once they run out if you dont have a fax your screwed and still have to call multiple times after the fax is sent in. Poor management, poor patient care and a complete lack of concern for the mental and physical health of health. Wouldn't recommend this place if it was the last psychiatric facility in Roanoke. Unfortunately I can't give zero stars.
