It is so refreshing to find autism service providers who are 100% invested in their communities. The team at JumpStart is not only dedicated to providing state of the art services, they are also strong advocates for the families they serve. Thank you, JumpStart!

As a clinical therapist and social worker, I understand the necessity of informed, comprehensive, and well-trained behavioral support for children with autism diagnoses. I also have a nephew that lives with ASD. The support and advocacy that I have witnessed at Jumpstart Autism Center for not only the children but also the families and the ASD community has been remarkable. I would trust my family with their model of care without hesitation. I highly recommend this phenomenal organization!

I'm not sure where to start. I went here for my son's official ASD diagnosis in March of this year. For parents who are coming to get a diagnosis, this environment probably couldn't be worse. Because they're an in-center therapy provider, naturally you're surrounded by all different levels of kids with ASD. As a parent waiting for the diagnosis, this honestly is the last thing that you need to be seeing. It just put so much more fear into the future than I've ever had before. The room we did the diagnosis in had frosted glass, so you see shadows of kids running around, having meltdowns, and stimming. Once again, not an environment parents should ever be in when they're getting a diagnosis. The diagnosing physician told me that I would need to get my child tested again around age 5 to rule out "mental retardation". Every single medical person I have told that to has been mortified. That is not PC language, and an extremely outdated term. She also made it seem like if I didn't give my two year old 40 hours of ABA therapy a week I would be doing him a huge disservice. Thank God I had already been in contact with another ABA provider before we even went to this eval, because honestly if Jumpstart was my only impression of ABA I would be extremely reluctant to subject my child to that. He is 2, in what world does any 2 year old do 40 hours of anything a week? I have been on top of his early intervention since his 18 month doctor appointment, and I have lined up all of his therapies and medical team and yet somehow I felt like I had done nothing for my child once I left here. I can't comment on the quality of the ABA they provide because I don't have my son in those services. But I can tell you, if you're a parent who needs to have your child diagnosed, this place might be sooner than Children's Hospital but it will definitely take a toll on you mentally. I'm grateful that we got my son's diagnosis from them so we can get him the appropriate services, however the entire experience was horrifying and I would never recommend sending a family here for a diagnosis in the future.
