My son started Mea'alofa when he was just an infant diagnosed with nonverbal autism. We initially had excellent therapist relationships and a wonderful family environment characterized by trust and compassion from the staff. Our son thrived, and his team was exceptional. However, over the past year, the entire atmosphere has drastically changed. We have experienced a high turnover of therapists, and the sense of family and trust has dissipated. The shift in the facility has left me deeply disheartened. As a mental health worker, I understand the importance of documented credentials and meetings with our BCBA. Nevertheless, we have not had a meeting with ours since our son was in school last year. It is our right as parents to know and meet the individuals working with our children. Given that our children's safety is our top priority, we should be able to ask questions about new staff and be introduced to them as they are working with our kids. This is non-negotiable, as it is crucial for us to ensure that the staff working with our children are well-qualified and trustworthy. The tipping point for us was when an email was circulated regarding a parent expressing concerns and seeking answers. As a responsible parent, it was imperative for her to address the issue. The demeanor of the staff during her request for a meeting was disconcerting, and at that juncture, I concluded that this was not a suitable environment for my child. I find it funny all of these "NEW" reviews surfaced as parents began to tell of their recent experiences with MASC. In hopes that maybe this would help the center start to look at the way they are handiling things. Instead (THINGS ' STUFF) would like to insult the parents who are speaking on THEIR experience and THEIR feelings would like to attack the families for stating how they felt. Which within the post I can only assume it the person running the facility or perhaps her sister .. who is just making comments and has no idea about what the family members are feeling who actually have kids who attended .. why it was necessary to not only attack parents who felt differently about the center since the environment turned cold and callous but also attacking prior staff. Thats a lot of inside information for just a parent to have and it was pointed out that this was a family member of director. As for my child all the therapists he grew to love and had a relationship with are no longer at masc as they all left. I am a well educated individual and the way MASC is handiling this is unprofessional. Take the reviews and adapt and change to get back to the reason families came there in the first place rather than have people leave reviews to counteract the real experiences of families. ** Because the post that was targeting families was deleted I added a screenshot for clarity and the type of ugliness directed toward parents. So it makes sense…Accountability. We came honest and with our personal experiences and we were met with the most unprofessional childish behavior.

Unfortunately Things N Stuff, we are respectful, highly educated and professional on all levels. Attacking my family and our child is next level and will be addressed accordingly on every level. Defamation of Character will not be allowed. No one was ever disrespected or down talked anyone at MASC because we were denied a meeting or phone conversation from the director when requested. This was even after we agreed to their changes and just wanted a explanation which was given by the receptionist. Whatever your personal relationship is with this company will be handled legally as HIPAA and privacy laws are being called into question or validated. As for MASC we only asked for what they have always provide and was denied. Business is business and we parted ways respectfully. We left a review of our experience. Next day, new reviews and a mass email from MASC was sent out describing us negatively and attacking staff members credibility. All false, painting a false narrative of our characteristics in a email. Unprofessionally judging me and my family publicly is Defamation of Character. This is my only public statement of this matter for legal purposes.

My grandchildren have been going to MASC for over 10 years. The staff has been great and we have seen wonderful results from the services the children have received. We have seen staff come and go over the years and the current team is exceptional. I would highly recommend this organization to any families that need help with their children with Autism ❤️

I have been a strong supporter of MASC for 10 years, and have known the executive director for 14 years. The team of professionals that are there pour their heart and soul into each kiddo, many of whom I have met. Watching these kiddos grow and thrive is what MASC is all about. Support for the kids, family and schools is their priority.

We have been clients for almost 11 years and for both of our children. The staff at MASC have made such a difference in our lives. Their care, compassion, and guidance through our autism journey have been invaluable and our lives would not be the same without them!
