My son had been receiving OT services with MeBe for several years. MeBe has staffing issues and aren't able to retain good providers. For the last few years my son switched 3 therapists. In August 2025, he stopped receiving OT services as MeBe lost 3 OT providers at the same time. He was placed on waitlist until MeBe hires a new provider. Three months later he was discharged from OT services without opportunity to discuss this decision. If you want your child to received continues services, MeBe is not the right place for it.

This place has been the absolute worst experience ever. All they care about is billing your insurance to get the most money they can. There has been more issues with this place than I can even count, but the major 3 are lack of communication, not enough staffing, and only caring about your money. Here's a few examples for you, get ready and buckle in! Its going to be a bumpy ride. Background stories: • My daughter and I were both admitted the hospital with pneumonia. She missed about 2-3 weeks of services from this particular incident. • My daughter gets sick very often (I'm talking like 103.6F fevers) (especially from this place because it seems they do not sanitize properly) and they want parents to bring in their kids even if theyre sick, UNLESS they have a fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. Issues: There has been more than one occasion where we have been spoken to about my daughter's attendance. The first was following her attendance when we had pneumonia and we were admitted to the hospital (i believe june 2024). The supervisor at the time, Sara, specifically called me and gave a verbal warning because my daughter had missed too many scheduled hours and I quote "We cannot bill insurance unless shes here for a specific amount of hours, or attempts to come in for the day." Ever since this verbal warning - I've had major red flags go up. The second issue was when I had my first monthly with my daughter's new supervisor. Mind you - this supervisor JUST started and was not here to witness my daughter being sick during this time. I had sent the previous supervisor pictures when my daughter was sick (in june 2025), basically to prove that she actually was sick. It feels like you're a child in trouble with this place and have to prove if your kid is sick otherwise they threaten to discharge you from the practice. Anyways, my daughter was running a fever of 103.6, and I kept her out of services because... she was sick LOL. Well she missed almost 2 weeks I believe. Later that same month my daughter had a seizure and was brought to the ER and they wanted me to keep her home an additional day. During my meeting in July 2025, with Liza, a new supervisor to the practice, I was informed that my daughter only attended 48% of her hours for June, and that we will be receiving a written warning. Seriously? A written warning when a child was extremely sick AND had a seizure in the same month - all because they cant bill insurance. Its wild to both me and my husband. The third major issue is that they have lack of communication. On multiple occasions scheduling has failed to inform me of schedule changes that directly impacted my daughter's schedule. This most recent issue was when I received correspondence that my daughter's speech therapist would be leaving, and her last day would be 8/1/25. With this information my daughter would have had speech scheduled for that day and pick up at 1:30pm. Well turns out the speech therapist actually quit sooner than 8/1 and no one informed me. Luckily I got there early for pick up that day, but they brought my daughter out at 1pm. I asked to speak to a supervisor and got told that no one will speak to me. I asked to speak to the supervisor above the supervisors that same day, and I kept getting a run around "oh she will email you" when I specifically asked for a phone call. It is now 8/6 and I have not heard from ANY supervisor. So its very obvious they do not care when a parent has concerns and asks to speak to a supervisor. When I told the front desk staff about the scheduling issue all I got was "oh that was my bad" LOL?! Another incident was when my daughter is clearly flagged for elopement, and she had a substitute BT for part of her session. This girl clearly didn't read my daughter's profile and just opened the front door at pick up and my daughter ran out into the middle of the parking lot. This was a MAJOR issue for me because people FLY through this parking lot without a care for the safety of children in the area. And these are only SOME of the issues I've had with MEBE.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to MeBe for their compassion, kindness, patience, care, concern and love for my son throughout the years. All of them are such great blessings to us. They have made such a positive impact in my son’s life. My son has improved so much since he went to MeBe and that, we are forever grateful. Each one of them made a difference in his. My son is not the easiest to deal with but each one of them took their time in helping him. I am still hopeful that in the future, my son can talk and say “thank you” to all of them. We appreciate all the support, hard work and dedication Emily has put into. We are so grateful for her guidance and providing us with resources, tools and techniques to support our son and his behaviors. We have learned a lot from her. She always going above and beyond, kind, always there for us, always ready to assist and address concerns we have. My son is happiest at MeBe (other than our home, ofcourse). He looks forward to going to MeBe and I can truly say that he had the most fun there. At Mebe, my son learned to brush his teeth, comb his hair, shower, put his socks on, wear his eyeglasses, gesture the “help” sign, learn to wait for his turn, clean up after his mess, throw trash on the trash can, organize his stuff, learned to ask for help, imitate some signs and so many more. (still with adult assistance ofcourse) We miss MeBe and I am hoping they open a location in Riverside county.

I thought transferring from one facility out of state to the same facility in California would be an easy transition especially when I started the transfer process a month before leaving my prior state. I have had to delay my job start date and lost out on opportunities waiting for staffing to be available at this location. On top of that the overall vibe is a little weird when first coming into the facility. I get the feeling staff at this facility is stretched thin and maybe no one is addressing it adequately. What should have been a warm handoff from one facility to another ended up being a rough transition that felt worse than if I would have started her at a new facility from scratch. Ultimately I decided to not have my daughter attend this facility. I wanted to leave an honest review for parents who may be single parents or have a lot of responsibility on their plate to be wary that the sense of urgency at this place regarding getting a child started and their program can be severely lacking. Hopefully they do better with the next family in the future.
