Amazing school with amazing staff!
We absolutely love Peachtree Autism Services! They have been lifesavers for my daughter who can exhibit some challenging behaviors sometimes. They never wavered in their steadfast dedication to her. All the BCBAs and RBTs we worked with there were fantastic with my daughter. They showed her and the rest of our family so much love and kindness. If you’re looking for an ABA clinic with fantastic therapists and a great facility that is highly organized and professional, look no further. This is the place, folks!
We came here(USA) about 2 years ago and we were trying to find a center to help my daughter, many of them declined from giving therapy to my daughter. But then we came across Peachtree autism center. Not only did they help make the process of getting started easier by responding timely and also understanding our situation, they also helped my daughter succeed and grow over the months. The staff was really helpful, responsive and kind towards us. Many thanks to Whitney, Michelle, Fari, and many others for monitoring and helping my daughter grow.
To say this was the worst experience I have had since starting care for my child would be an understatement. I did a lot of research and partnered with several mothers around the area to find trustworthy care. I ended up finding PAS and was excited! The communication initially was amazing! My spouse and I toured the facility and felt comfortable that we’d found a place to expand care for my level 2, ASD, Non-verbal child. The first red flag was the constant complaining from the Director about how hard it was to get the insurance authorization. It was annoying. I don’t care about your process, just get it done. Then it was the forceful way they didn’t want to coordinate care with my child’s other therapists. We were made to discontinue OT (which was extremely helpful) to meet their ridiculous attendance policies. My child’s other therapists cautioned me against doing this and expressed concerns but despite that, we canceled her OT after having waited for months just to find one. It was explained that the benefit of ABA was that my child would still receive treatment to improve gross & fine motor skills, but after addressing it with Whitney, we moved forward with enrollment. Immediately, we regretted this decision. The Director was passive aggressive, condescending, disingenuous, and flat out disrespectful. Although at times I found it hard to keep my composure, we had an AMAZING RBT that my child loved, so, I put up with it. After a few more nastygram emails, from petty things like our choice of clothes, to providing additional care items my child needed for a separate medical condition and being constantly harassed via email about that, we decided that it was time to speak to Whitney. The next red flag was the “time clock”. We live an hour away with traffic. Despite our best efforts, sometimes we were running late—-less than 7-10 mins. We had no idea we were being “clocked in” by the staff every morning like we were employees. After so much micromanaging, we turned to Glass Door to read the reviews and found that the behavior was a pattern for them. My spouse and I are professionals, working in highly esteemed careers, but we’re also tired parents who both made the effort everyday to drop our child off together usually in comfortable clothes as most busy parents do. At times, we would catch Whitney looking us up and down with perceived judgment as if our choices were beneath her. At first, I dismissed it until my spouse who is extremely passive and laidback noticed it and had a concern about it. Given our cultural background differences with Whitney, we are familiar with that type of behavior and it’s uncomfortable. The next flag was the treatment plan from the BCBA. It felt like they were attempting to undo all of the hard work we’d spent thousands of dollars on speech therapy fixing by having my child communicate more non-verbally vs verbally. Since I am not an expert in this field, I took a copy of the plan to three experts who were also baffled and confused at the end goal. The last red flag was the invoicing and communication. We requested to view our invoices before paying and that request was granted but then not honored. The bill came out one day (late afternoon) and the very next morning (early) we were getting harassing emails from Whitney about payment. We were dumbfounded! We questioned again if cultural differences were Whitney’s reasoning for targeting us. We felt at this point we would be placing our child in harms way if we continued care with them so we withdrew my child immediately. The management here is terrible. There would be days we would pick up our child and everyone was all smiles and then we’d get home and receive these ridiculous demeaning emails with shallow attempts to include pleasantries offering complaints about everything you can think of. Three weeks we were there and all of this (and even more) happened and it was just too much. Please, read the Glass Door reviews before bringing your child here. They tell the real storyl.
If I could give ten stars I would in a heartbeat. Our son (3 YO ASD L1) started here in August of 2023 on a part time (half day) basis and the improvement we saw in him within just the first few weeks was so amazing. We ended up transitioning to full time around thanksgiving of 2023 and again he has amazed us. When he first started, he had some struggles with interacting with others and he didn’t verbalize (only screamed but not words) his wants/needs which made life in general very difficult. He is now saying at least 3+ word requests and loves interacting with others. Finding PAS has been so life changing for our son and us. Words can’t express how thankful we are to the staff of PAS for being such an amazing group of people who really care so deeply for our little guy and we can see they truly want to see him thrive and learn just as much as we do. Every single person there is so much an integral part of the care for all the kiddos and it truly shows every single day without fail. I can’t recommend and thank them enough. Thank you PAS!!!! 💙💙💙
My son has been with this provider since he was 14 months and now he is almost 3 year old. We are very pleased with this provider. The owner Whitney has been very easy to communicate with and extremely dedicate to help my son for developing specialized treatment plan. We also worked with BCBA Kim Duong and BCBA Maria Nix in the past two years, both of them are super professional. I felt that they sincerely love my son and did their best to help him. I am 100% satisfied with their service. The only reason that we will leave Peachtree is because he will be in preschool in fall and doesn't need the service in the morning. Oh, forgot to mention, they even prepared a very thorough discharge report for us and did training for the preschool teachers. I have already recommended this provider to my friends. Highly recommended!
