They have always done a great job with my son. He has OT and ST for several years.
I have been coming here with my 5 year old since July this year. They have been amazing. I left another place due to poor customer service within the office. This facility has exceeded all expectations. Therapy wise the provide excellent care. They truly try to give the best care they can to my child. They try to schedule as best as possible to your schedule and guidelines understand if rescheduling must Occur. We love it here! Not to Mention my daughter has made tremendous gains!
My two kids have had the best experiences with everyone we have encountered. From the moment you walk in, you feel like family. The staff has given my family the tools for success to help our kiddos meet every goal and even exceed in some areas. We are so thankful for the environment and teaching materials provided to help them grow.
I absolutely love and adore Pediatric Therapy Associates! The overall experience and care received during visits at this office are always wonderful. The clinicians truly go above and beyond to ensure patients receive the best care possible. From the front desk to the patient care, I couldn't have asked for a better office to trust in helping my children. Therapy sessions are always fun and interactive. They make you feel like family here and not just another number in a long list of patients. The staff is so caring and friendly. They take the time to get to know each individual. I recommend Pediatric Therapy Associates to anyone who is seeking top quality care and therapy services for their children.
As a Mom to a 4 year old with cerebral palsy I can say with the most certainty that Pediatric Therapy Associates (PTA) is the best place we have ever found. I have a lot to say so I have broken up my review into topics. But to summarize they are incredible and have assisted my son make massive gains. Back Story: My son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy around 7 months of age; so we have worked with a lot of therapists. However we didn’t learn about PTA until last year when he participated in an intensive program. Since then he has completed 2 rounds of intensive therapy and sees them a few times a month for traditional hourly therapy (non intensive). Facility: The front/lobby has no tv. I really like this; as we have gone to some other facilities that have had tvs which makes it hard for my son to transition to therapy. The therapy place is great. I have only been back a few times but it’s very spacious and has many activities and toys for the children to use during their session. They have a sand table, a kitchen play area, a sensory area with swings, and even a ramp that my son loves. It’s clear that they value the toys and ensure they have wide range to meet a wide range of interests. You can tell they take sanitization serious. It has never look messy or dirty. They even have a full kitchen, and clean ACCESSABLE bathrooms. Again you would think that would be a given but there are some facilities I have been to that could use some work there. Staff: To me this is the most important thing. If someone doesn’t connect to my son I wont feel comfortable leaving them to do therapy. I have never once felt this way. During the two intensives we completed my son only worked with a few therapists but nearly everyone knew him. I think the staff makes an effort to know all the kids so when they see them in the lobby or even doing therapy they can say hi. To my son it has made a huge difference. I feel like the therapists really strive to create a sense of community with the kids. We have worked with Heather the most and when we drop our son off she’ll usually introduce him to the kid she was just with. My son loves interacting with his peers so this helps him transition to the back really well. Relationships: I’m not sure if this should go under the staff section, but to make it cleaner I made a new section. The therapists we’ve worked with really make me feel like they see my son as a person, not his diagnoses. They get to know his likes and dislikes. They take this information and tailor the therapy to him. I know it seems like every facility should do this but they some aren’t. I can’t imagine how exhausting their jobs are but they never let it show. They speak to my son with such love and kindness. I know that when he is with him he feels loved, seen and valued. They also treat him like a kid. They meet him where he is but they don’t let him slack. My son can be stubborn and I have seen therapists in the past tell me that he simply can’t do something or they will physically make him do it causing him to never want to return. They never do that. They modify the tasks so he can be successful. They really care about these kids. Therapy: This is probably my second favorite thing about (PTA). They stay up to date with new therapies. They aren’t afraid to try new things and take feedback from the parent. This year my son completed his 2nd intensive therapy program and PTA completed it in tandem with another little girl. My son did so well with this model. As mentioned before he loved interacting with his peers so they built that into the program. It’s also the only facility I have found in San Antonio that does CMIT (Constraint Movement Induced Therapy) and intensive therapy. It’s clear to me that Heather and the other therapists strive to be the best they can for these kids. I feel like a partner in my sons therapy journey but I also know that they to want do what’s best for my son. Overall I am so grateful for the team at PTA. We look forward to working with them, and my son enjoys seeing them.
THE WORST place ever! You would think that because they work with children in a special field, they would be more professional and considerate towards the parents and communication. To start with the evaluation, it wasn't even thorough. There was no interaction with the child. They scheduled my toddler without the evaluation being completed (3 weeks after his initial evaluation). No set therapist just scheduled with randoms to get us in the door and charge their money. Asked to speak to the manager, of course, she didn't come out . First, the receptionist went into her office to tell her my questions and concerns. After 10 minutes, she came out. Just wanted to tell me she didn't know why the evaluation was not completed and that my son would have a set therapist going forward. I was never made aware of a parent portal. Until the therapist mentioned it to my husband. When he went to go ask the front desk, they gave him attitude as if it were our fault we didn't know about it and hadn't signed up for it. When the therapist checked my sons profile, there was no email 😕 or parents assigned, so mistake on their end. Today, we came to his session and was told the initial price of copay had changed and increased by a lot due to an insurance error. She insisted they had sent emails with the updates and but I never received anything proved to her. I did receive their emails when I signed up for the parent portal. Still, she insisted they had done their part and printed the invoices without hesitation because she knows darn well they never emailed anything. We will not be returning this unprofessional staff, and management needs to be replaced for better serving of the kids and parents. Do yourself research and save yourself the hassle and mistreatment from this place.
My daughter has been going here for about a year now and we absolutely love it. All of the therapists are AMAZING! Shout out to Heather, Tye, Michelle, and Jenna! They all genuinely love and care about my daughter and I know that she is in good hands every time I drop her off. She loves going which I feel is half the battle with little ones! She goes for OT and PT and I can truly tell a difference in her abilities since we started coming here. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone!
PTA has been a blessing in our lives. My daughter has been a patient there for over 3 years and she is looking forward to coming to her therapies every time. All therapists we ever worked with found unique individualized approach to my daughter’s needs and developmental challenges. The staff is professional, friendly, flexible and very accommodating to parents. I can’t thank PTA enough for their support!
We’ve been with Pediatric Therapy Associates for years, and the care our son has received has been nothing short of exceptional. We’ve used their services for speech therapy, physical therapy (PT), and occupational therapy (OT) — and every therapist we’ve worked with has been deeply committed to our son’s progress. A special thank you to Ms. K, our son’s speech therapist, who has been outstanding, truly one of the best. She understands him in a way few others do and has become like part of our family. Her support, patience, and expertise have made a real difference in our son’s development and confidence. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found this team, and we would recommend Pediatric Therapy Associates to any family looking for compassionate, high-quality care. We’ve already recommended them to friends, and will continue to do so without hesitation.
We have been so happy with our experience at PTA!! I cannot say enough good things. From the front staff all the way to the therapist they are a 5/5’! My son receives both OT and Speech and have had great experiences with both! Ms Kayla (OT) and Taylor (Speech) were so kind and patient working with our son who has ASD. Thank you PTA for your caring providers and environment!
