My son has been seeing Ms. Katie for physical therapy at Playworks and she has been amazing! When we first met Katie my son was not even standing independently. With her guidance and his hard work in PT he is now a happy, active, independent walker working on constantly picking up speed and figuring out what kind of mischief he can get into on the playground! He has made excellent progress, has so much fun during their sessions, and Katie has taught us a lot as his parents in order to help continue to progress his gross motor skills. She is incredibly knowledgeable, flexible, and I feel comfortable asking her any questions I have in my worried mommy brain. I highly recommend Playworks and Ms. Katie! ❤️
My daughter has been with Playworks since 2017. She presently receives both Speech and OT in person at their office in Arlington. We couldn't be happier with the services she receives, her incredible therapists and the progress she's made under their care. Playworks navigated the pandemic in a way that kept our family safe while at the same time making sure that the unique needs of their clients were being met without pressure. Patti and the administrative staff have also worked to help me navigate schedule and insurance changes, including updating complex coding challenges. Equally important to note, our daughter absolutely loves her therapists and the time she spends there!
Playworks Speech Therapy has been an amazing resource and is always there when we need them to help boost language strategy skills and confidence as school studies get more challenging. They are a thoughtful and talented group of coaches to have in your corner!
I can’t recommend Playworks Speech Therapy highly enough. Patti and her team, including Lara, have been working with my son for 6 years. The Playworks team has expertise and they are all passionate about their clients--it's remarkable to find this tenure among staff in this field as well. My son has a chromosomal disorder and co-occurring autism, ADHD, and epilepsy and is non speaking. He uses AAC for communication. He has complex needs as he develops his language and speech skills, and the Playworks team has always been innovative and tireless in finding approaches that work. They have helped me to advocate for school based services, work with insurance and support him as his needs have evolved. They are true partners in his treatment and care. When we had to transition to virtual services in response to the pandemic, Patti and her team were supportive and creative in finding a way to connect with him through the computer. We're a few months into tele-therapy and it's helping him to maintain skills during this time while all other school-based services have been disrupted.
Both of my sons have received services at Playworks and the quality of speech and OT services have been outstanding! The therapists are extremely knowledgeable and the owner of the practice, Patti, is wonderful. My younger son cried when he "graduated" from speech because he was going to miss Miss Patti. We are so grateful for all of the help!
