Since the age of 12, I’ve been on what feels like a never-ending search for the right therapist. Let’s just say I’ve seen more couches than I care to count! Some were too clinical, some too distant, and some…well, let’s just say they weren’t my cup of tea. But here? This experience has been a game-changer. From the moment I walked in, I felt seen, heard, and cared for in ways I didn’t even realize I needed. The level of compassion and expertise here is truly unmatched. There’s something about having someone who gets it—not just on a professional level but on a human level—that makes all the difference. And let me just take a moment to shout out the fact that this is a woman-owned business! Talk about empowerment. It feels good to support a space where strength, resilience, and understanding meet heart and soul. Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m not saying therapy is always easy. There were moments I wanted to leave my emotions in the parking lot. But somehow, this team made even the hard parts feel worth it. They’ve helped me navigate some of the messiest chapters of my life with grace and humor (and I’ve got plenty of chapters!). If you’re on the fence about starting therapy or looking for a new perspective, trust me—you’ve found the right place. It’s not just therapy; it’s a transformative experience. Plus, the vibes are immaculate—I almost wish I could book double sessions just to stay a little longer!
I have been with Carin snice my prison release 2016 WOW!! If you want truth Teachable moments is the place to go. Carin has help me to be able to accept my mental illness. She gets to the root of one's issues and than begins the healing. I was completely at a loss when I first met with Carin, but she just wouldn't let me give up. With her one feels safe and free to express self. I recommend everyone contact teachable moments. If you want to live and no longer just exist in the world. Teachable moments atmosphere is so calming and relaxing.
Erica was great but the owner waits until it’s time for my session to let me know I could no longer have that therapist anymore because of her own personal issues . found that to be extremely rude. Not to mention no one contacted me to let me know anything about returning there to be paired with another therapist, despite assuring me they would. Very unprofessional! Again Erica was very caring and compassionate but I do not recommend going to this place if u care about your mental health. The owner will definitely make it worse.
I’ve had quite a few therapists in my life but none so far like Carin. Shes Godsent. She makes me feel comfortable to come and when I leave I feel confident like I can do anything. She believes in me which in return makes me believe in myself more. She’s really the best. She’s very compassionate, understanding and loves what she does and you can tell. It reflects in her actions with me. She’s helped me a lot already in a short time and I know I have so much growth to do but with her she makes it seem doable. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good therapist.
Carin is very compassionate, understanding and loves what she does. It reflects in her approach and personality towards her clients. She’s helped my daughter tremendously. I would recommend her to anyone. If you’re looking for a refreshing therapeutic experience Carin is the perfect choice. Unfortunately, a simple billing question and communication to resolve it was overshadowed by the rudeness of the owner Ms. Dawkins. We’ve NEVER had an outstanding balance and ALWAYS paid on time. One miscommunication and sadly we are left finding another therapist. A simple heads up notification that a contract billing policy was finally being implemented would’ve been nice. I could’ve made timely changes to my online portal and update my billing information. My question and request for a notification of implementation was met with rudeness. She may have felt my inquiry was aggressive but that wasn’t my intention. As the client’s parent I should’ve read my contract again as I was so rudely told by Ms. Dawkins.
